Great video.. also if you turn the machine straight up and look underneath you'll see a small Allen head bolt and nut. If you losses that nut a bit and back out that Allen head bolt just a smidgen that rail will slide like butter no more hang ups. I've done this to mine makes a world of difference.

Thanks for the video. Just got the 6" version and the instruction manual is hard to decipher. Your video saved me a lot of time! Much appreciated.

Very helpful, thank you! After reading reviews about this slicer, I also bought some cut-resistant gloves when I ordered it. Someday I may upgrade to the blade they sell that works with a blade holder (wish they offered that option on the 10" at time of purchase). The manual recommends a neutral detergent to protect the finish so I got some Seventh Generation foaming dish spray that should be handy.

Thanks for the video. One point of safety is to ensure that the machine is unplugged before cleaning the blade. I've taken a permanent marker and written by the blade's holding screws 'UNPLUGGED?' as a reminder. Then ill make sure the end of the cord is visible next to the slicer before handling the blade. I work around alot of machinery and it is imperative that lockout/safe stop/de-energize procedures are followed. Cheers.

I use Pam cooking spray to lubricate mine. Been doing that for years and years never a problem works great and it's cheap and always handy.

Take note. I did a test run. I then disassembled. I took the gauge plate off as well. Be careful as I found that company had used a shim to make up for manufacturing quality/defects. I reinstalled the Guage plate and installed without the shim and yup , when set to zero the upper half was not flush. Reinstalled again with shim and now flush top and bottom. That way the cut is even top to bottom.

Oh and also used one step sanitizer, no rinse required. Also I broke it down further to use a tooth brush on the slotted screws.

And another thing I didn't freeze the meat long enough, so took me 40 minutes to thoroughly clean!! Also let the slices stack to high and one got caught up in blade a flung it across the kitchen, and my wife gave me the evil eye! Yikes!

Hi. How much 'wastage' do you get with the block of meat? Does the food pusher arm get close to the blade so you get minimal 'wastage'
@bartwilliams4478Ай бұрын
Ended up with just slightly under 1/2 inch

I have a Model 400 and the table does not align properly with the blade so my cuts com out thicker on one side. Do you know of an adjustment or do I have to try to bed the table to match the blade? Thanks

Need to use a metal shim behind Guage plate and base. Mine came with a shim already.

Are you able to give me the width of the slicer, like it's shown at 1:10? I'm trying to figure out if it will fit on a shelf we have.

@@unidentifiedrandomvideos5616 I have what I am pretty sure is the exact same slicer just without the KWS label on it. I bought the 9" version from Consiglio's Kitchenware in Canada. Great slicer! Anyhoo, parts are available on their site with each size of slicer.
