Interesting, I didn’t know that. A little too expensive for cleaning shoes though. I was going to suggest rubbing alcohol is the best as far as I know for Removing permanent marker. 70% or 90% is great and doesn’t usually require elbow grease. I hate elbow grease!!!

with the Lysol wipes, I also wipe the inside to sanitize the shoes. I also use Goo Gone for the sticky residue as well. Thanks for sharing your tips.

I use pure acetone or nail polish remover with acetone in it for the white rubber soles on shoes! They do wonders on Vans and Converse!!

I like to use a degreaser for the bottoms of the shoes. It gets the stains out very nicely. That Vince pair could have used a good degreaser.

Hi Jenna, thank you so very much for putting this together! I have used 'baking soda' as well as 'hydrogen peroxide' on some things, but, this really helps. Personally, I don't like using 'goof off' because of all the chemicals...and the smell...just too strong for me...so I search out other things. All this really helps and thanks again. Thank you for sharing your shoe cleaning tips! I found a gorgeous pair of European leather ankle boots at the thrift store that were in excellent condition but had gum on the bottom! My husband thought it was disgusting, but I’ll scrape gum off a barely worn pair of expensive boots any day, especially for $6.99!

Use Kiwi spray suede cleaner to remove price tags and grease crayon prices from the bottom of the shoes. It works on leather too.

simple green and a toothbrush for rubber sides and bottoms. It will also take off adhesive most of the time. First thing I try on any writing on the sole is a pencil eraser. Usually does the trick but not always. I've gotta try the goof off on some ball point pen!

I think you have great tips and I think your video is excellent, but I do feel compelled to make one point, not only for you but for anyone reading this. Any Lysol wipes that are made for surfaces, (not specifically for hands/skin), absorb into your skin and can damage your liver. You should use lightweight gloves when using those or anything similar to those. If someone uses one for a surface once in a great while it isn't that big a deal, but if you use them regularly I can tell you from a medical standpoint that it's a fact-your liver doesn't them. If anyone doubts this, just ask your Dr. for confirmation. Just trying to help. Great video though and thank you very much! :-)

Have you tried rubbing alcohol on the permanent marker? It works great, no elbow grease! But I like that cleaner you used on the bottom of the shoe..it made the part you cleaned look new. Thanks for the tips..love it.

Thanks! It’s hard with light color leather a lot of times conditioner darkens it no matter what! I usually use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam, but test a small area first.

Great tips. Never heard of un du and goof off. I have a pair of Dr. Marten's with a clear yellow sole that has the GW price written with magic marker that I have not been able to remove. Will definitely give these a try. Also wanted to share that in my experience all magic erasers are the same. I buy mine from the 99 cent store or Dollar Tree. Mr. Clean erasers are just too expensive. IMO. I
