This is so clear and informative, why is this not included with the instructions that came with the machine!😊

Thank you so much for this excellent clear instructional video. It covers all the bases. FYI you can buy citiric acid crystals and mix them with water to make a descaling solution. This is what I did for my last espresso machine and will continue to do for my new Casabrews. It is entirely foodsafe and produces a mild acidic solution to dissolve away any solids. IMHO it is preferable to over-descale than under-descale since freed up solids can block the small openings in the machine that water has to pass through. Also, if one is using "hard" water in the machine, it will build up scale more quickly.

The little needle is for cleaning filters, as they can get small coffee particles over time. Also, descaling process should be longer. The machine has to soak for at least 20 minutes before running rest of the descaler and water. Some automatic machines run this process for hours, so obviously 5 minutes is only OK if your tap water is very soft or deeply filtered by reverse osmosis.

You said at 6:55 “You’re going to push it through the machine” but didn’t provide instructions.
