The Filth Fighters arrive to clear out a smelly but relatively empty house. Easy work - until they look see the garden. Full of junk and dog excrement. Sounds like a good day’s work.

What gets me, is that councils used to have an inspector that came round to check that you were adhering to the rules and keeping your home and garden in good repair/cleanliness. Having a council home was a privilege! Bring back the inspector!!!!

The thing is you can get 5 lads on 60 quid a day to clear a bad home like this one. 300 quid plus supplies to the council and they can just send that charge onto prev tenants. Saves £ on inspector and makes the messy b*stards have to pay for it.

What's a council house?
@danismell82
@danismell82 4 жыл бұрын
@@Angel-tw3ko a council house is a house that is owned by the state, managed by the local authorities and can be rented for way below market rental prices. 1000s of them were built in Britain following WW2, to ensure decent and affordable housing for returning service personnel. However, since the Thatcher government began selling them off (30 years ago) they are now extremely difficult to acquire.

I live in a one bed rented flat, with a dog, and my place is immaculate. It takes me 30 minutes a day to make sure of that. Lazy people do this kind of thing, it's disgusting. No wonder landlords and councils turn their noses up at pet owners. In the mean time, there is a family out there with nowhere to live, desperately in need of a house to call home. SO sad, evicting tenants like this has to be a priority so people who deserve a home can have a decent place to live, they've done it to themselves and I have zero sympathy for them. If this were my property, I'd have evicted these slobs with no questions asked.

Jibbie49 ..... It depends on who they are cleaning out for, like a family of a deceased or an eviction. Sometimes they are told to set aside certain things by the deceased family other times they are told to just toss everthing and do whatever they want with items. A lot of times only a few things of value are in good condition because of severe mold/mildew, cat urine, blood, feces. I wonder how much cash they come across and kept.

Thanks so much... never heard of the word “banter” before. I am British, so don’t assume that I’m not and I know the difference between banter and someone being nasty because they think they can. It’s not just “how we are” in this country. You can give British people more credit. We are very calculated people who recognise our words and actions have consequences. I am yet to find a British person who isn’t self aware about how their words make someone feel. So you cannot just brush that off. That doesn’t work. I don’t think it’s necessary to try label me as a “snowflake” because I don’t like the way someone talks to and treats another person. But thank you both, for your pointless comments that hold no weight and no argument. Quite clear that some can only see what’s right in front of them and accept this type of behaviour to excuse themselves for being the same type of narcissistic, self absorbed low people. For future reference, try get your head out of your arse and look a bit further into people and their actions. Some are just nasty and foul and just because they come across as “ok” people doesn’t mean they are.
@ligmaballs9818
@ligmaballs9818 4 жыл бұрын
@@Greenehhhh Cedric is literally having a blast as he works but you're making it out like he's being treated like shit. Obviously you have no one around you that is friendly like this to you which is hard because pretty much everyone in this country is like it. If you think that Sam's attitude to Cedric is wrong then you definitely are indeed a snowflake. Why don't you take your head out your own arse and get a sense of humor?
@Greenehhhh
@Greenehhhh 4 жыл бұрын
darren gilliver What I’m saying is, Sam is not as nice as he’s trying to come across. I can see there is an underlying ignorance and rudeness in him. That’s my point. It shouldn’t just be taken as “banter” as it isn’t always this way. Ofcourse, us Brits know banter better than most but there is a line. A very thin line between banter and someone trying to pass it off as “banter” to cover their true agenda. I have watched this clip I am very aware that Cedric is having fun and all credit to him for not letting Sam’s behaviour, attitudes and words distract him from enjoying his work. I have never said he’s being treated like “shit” my point is that Sam is not a nice guy and hides behind the “banter” to cover this. Being a very smart and calculated move. Like I have said, I am British and I do have a sense of humour despite how you may think I’m coming across. But, I’m also very aware of people’s behaviours. I doesn’t hurt to scratch a little bit deeper under the surface and understand that things are not always how they seem. But, if it’s too much I understand. Leave if for those who are more educated. Thank you.

The poop on the mattress looked identical to my guinea pigs poop. They probably had guinea pigs and there were also hutches designed for smaller animals there too.

It isn't good, but they cleaned it up nicely! Also, hoarding situations have been worse, but not good over here.

I wonder Why they never wear masks while they're cleaning really dirty house .. Lots of dusts and particles that may harm their respiratory organs.. and not to mention the filthy smell of it. 🤑

Why do the council not do any inspections? These houses have years of neglect.

i love the idea of a homeless person finding a place like this and basically fixing it up then living in it. Just the fact that i would think that a homeless person would be cleaner then the people that once lived here is ugh
