Quick before/after cleaning the focusing lens on an old car radio's CD Player module. The radio in the shot is actually not the MF2910, but the newer MF2199; both are from Alpine and go under the model name Audio 10 CD

Q-Tips (cotton buds) can leave cotton residue behind.

Hello, Any chance you have parts for a Blaupunkt? I'm looking for the laser eye component. I continue to receive "CD Error" even after cleaning like you have demonstrated. Thanks!! Model: Monterrey MP-35.

Hi there, mine plays original cds without problem. I had the 700mb Taiyo Yudens and it took a very long time to play and when I skip tracks, moreover when I skip tracks, the track plays from the middle. I took your advise and went for the 650mb cds, they were MPO discs, they have almost no delay in skipping tracks but they still plays for the middle. Do you think cleaning the laser will help? Im not very handy especially I dont have the removal tool, its a project to me.

definitely try cleaning the laser with a lot of care and no haste it's the perfect project, quite simple

My car radio won't even rotate/spin the CD. It just goes in, tries to load and ejects the CD. What can i look for?

Clean laser, and if not increase its power ever so slightly Check my channel for "clean laser" or shit like this - I made a video relatively recently on that topic

What is that stuff exactly you sprayed?
@Darieee6 жыл бұрын
99.9% ethanol (pure vodka basically)

I dont mean the small bottle in the beginning. I mean that big one after you finished brushing.

oh, that's compressed air (not actually air, some liquid that has a very high boiling point, smells roughly like lighter fluid)

it also never seems to do much - 99% of the results 'seem' to come from the rubbing of the lens -- there's never actual huge specs of dust lodged in there (though there might be) I've also had laser that never came back to life (1 out of many though); even after a thorough scrub, they still had a very hard time focusing
