awesome video. your fireplace pilot and burner looks like mine. I think my burners need a cleaning because I've never done it and the flames are very low. I was able to take it apart and even the ceramic tiles on top. Any idea if it's possible to take it apart even further in order to get to the actual burner itself?

Absolutely you can do it. I disassembled it until access to burner.

Our 20 year old Majestic Vermont Castings pilot light has turned yellow and quite large. It also will not ignite the main burner. 20 years of operation and I've never cleaned it. Today my first step is to perform your cleaning steps and hope for the best. A replacement pilot light is $120

@@guelphming3843 I got it! Sweet. I followed the video which is a big help. Cleaned everything with both a tiny wire brush & emory paper. Then disconnected the small gas feed line to the pilot and back blew it out with a puff from a bike pump. A cloud of dust flew out of the pilot. When I reassembled everything the pilot flame was blue again and functional. Thanks. Saved me a several hundred dollars. Easy job

you cant use the steel brush to clean it, it will be damaged-use steel wool
