First the red went out on my printer, then the blue, I tried the print head cleaning procedure many times, (press the button and let the light flash 2 times for cleaning, 3 times for deep cleaning) but it never occured to me that the lines may have drained out. I opened it up and sure enough, 2 of them were empty, I did the 5 flash procedure and watched with glee as the lines filled up with ink, just like in your video. Now my printer is printing a perfect test pattern. Thank You!!!

I'm facing a weird problem. When I print the test page, the yellow colour is printing as green and the magenta colour shade is also wrong (a lot darker). Same happens when I print a colour image, all the colours are wrong. I cleaned the print head, but no change. How do I fix this?

I have a G3200, I did as you said "held the stop button down until yellow led flashed 5 times" Nothing happened except the green and yellow leds flash alternating, and the printer won't work! The Canon website says that means "error 5100" (and my printer is now dead) ☹

It is worth mentioning that Ink flushing wastes a lot of ink. The process will make your ink tanks easily throw away between 25% to 50% of your ink from the ink tanks. Use the syringe method instead to suck ink back into the tubes. Many videos of it are available. I personally do it that way after losing most of my ink with the ink flush method.

You have to be sure to have enough ink in the tanks before starting the cleaning, because this process requires a lot of ink.

Try 1-2 times more the deep cleaning and if there is no result you have to contact local service center. Maybe there's a faulty printhead issue.

It's a 8 year model launched in 2016. Can't understand why cannon has not upgraded it? EPSON 3252 launched in 2021 and latest. I bought canon g3000 because even after 8 years it still has 4.2 reviews that means it's a long lasting printer and lots of users still using it and has not given negative reviews. Printers often create lots of problems that is why I went for cannon Pixma g3000 because of its long credibility. I wanted to buy EPSON 3252 but denied because it's 1500 more expensive and ratings are same.

@arifjay9869 there is an ink pad which absorbs all the wasted ink and periodically it has to be replaced by a technician at local service center.
