@@kyrillosmousa8950 Sticker shock....? Gotta have the right tools to do the best job sometimes. One time I put on a new screwdriving bit on Co. crappy cordless drill. My boss used my crappy drill. He said "wow it works good!". I said "No, same(crap) drill, I just put a new bit on it". Can you imagine how long he is been using a drill that doesn't loosen or drive properly? Just because of quality bit?

Yep, vinegar and HOT water. Microfiber cloths are not very absorbent and until they’ve been washed a few times. Regardless, never as absorbent as 100% cotton whether old towels or t-shits. I can see cleaning first with soapy microfiber cloth but I always use plain, clean, VERY hot water. Stainless steel is probably only needed the first time to get off paint for example. Unless you’re near a tree that drops sap, you shouldn’t need to use again unless you’ve got bird poop on the glass.

Great video, Instead of steel wool I have been using the "Magic Erasers" It is probably a bit more expensive, but they are reusable for multiple jobs, and they don't harm low-e or tint. Just a suggestion unless you know something I don't.
@SteveOthewindowcleaner2 жыл бұрын
Magic Erasers are amazing, great at removing finger prints, silicone, etc.
@donald23063 жыл бұрын
First of all, the best time to avoid streaks when cleaning windows is when it is overcast and the sun is not beating down on the glass. Secondly, if you are cleaning dual pane windows with argon gas between the panes, I suggest the following (especially when the sun is beating on it): After mopping the window, wipe the top edge and the side edge from which you will begin to squeegee with a towel FINGER WIDE ONLY using only one finger! Then squeegee across gently, using basically the weight of the squeegee only. There must be one smooth motion from edge to edge. Any stuttering or hesitation across the glass will result in squeegee marks or streaks. After squeegeeing, wipe the edges of the glass with a clean towel again WITH ONE FINGER WIDTH ONLY. NEVER touch the middle of the pane with a towel after squeegeeing or you might as well start over again.

This turtorial is great, but for beginners = Yes, use more soap (and alot of water, esp if hot) , this helps with friction and removes PH+7 which is most of waht is stuck on windows, this means dirt, fly feces and fingerprints. And about the steel wool, DONT use it if you dont know what you are doing.

Wouldn’t you prefer soft water over hard water? Or is that not doping anything in particular? I once read rainwater or water from condensating dryers Works good? Better glide or whats the Pros / cons of soft vs hard tap water ?
@xcompa77x3 жыл бұрын
For cleaning glass doors on a display case, would you recommend a soap and water mixture or that glass cleaning spray that you used in the video ? I can't really use the squeegee on my furniture either, i don't want the wood to get damaged by excess water.

Scraping with a razor blade first will remove old paint, bug, fly and bird droppings. If those are left then what good is a clean window. I had a cleaning business for years and cannot believe that people don't do this first - steel wool can't remove dry paint and a 4 in. razor blade and holder is easy to find. The rest is right on!🤗

Hi, nice video , Thank you very much! We moved into a condo and I don’t think the windows and the frames have been cleaned in 28 or so years. What order should I do the windows and frames as they drop inward (we’re not on the first floor and I’m too old to try an extension ladder). Dawn and water in the nooks and crannies and then the top windows moving down or (as my father used to say- bottom windows first so they don’t leave streaks of water & dirt from the upper windows?) Although that fan technique I will be trying.
