I bought the p&s interior cleaner in the bottle am I supposed to dilute that? I have not been and I do not get the aggravation like you do and I am wasting lots of it
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
@@Tracey_Brown I would go 50/50 in a spray bottle. Barely wet the surface and agitate with a brush and buff off with a microfiber. Other option is to spray directly on the microfiber and agitate it in that way and use a second towel to buff dry. The first method uses less product. Try those methods and let me know if it’s working for you.

@@Tracey_Brown yes. My thoughts on this are. If it’s pretty clean and needs light cleaning 50/50 or even less cleaner to water. If it’s super dirty than 100% is good. When you are deciding on a dilution ration remember the chemical should do a lot of the work and the agitation should be used to break loose the dirt from the surface. If you are agitating to much to remove dirt than increase the amount of product in your dilution. You want a good balance of cleaner vs agitation. Too much cleaner is a waste and too much agitation can damage the surface. I hope that helps and feel free to ask any more questions you may have.

I'm detailing one of these this weekend. I have the same interior cleaner and it seemed to work very well for you. My only question is, I read that since it isn't real leather, Tesla recommends just wiping seats with a wet cloth and not to use and aggressive cleaner.
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
This is not an aggressive cleaner but always start with the least aggressive method needed to do the job. If they are not dirty enough for a chemical than use a wet microfiber. I myself go straight to the P&S as it makes it easy to clean and leaves it streak free. Works really well. I do dilute it also. If its not that dirty dilute it way down. Always try your plan on a spot that is inconspicuous first if you are unfamiliar with a product. The last thing you want is any damage to someones vehicle. Thanks for watching and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Awesome video. It doesn't look like your Tesla has the wooden trim, but do you have any experience with individuals looking to treat the wood on their Model 3s? I don't necessarily want to change the look of the wood, but like anything else on the dash it's probably taking a beating from the sun. I'd like to get ahead of any future UV damage if possible.
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
I have a cover that’s black. It covers the wood. First I would recommend tint on the windshield. You can get clear tint with a really high UV rating. Keeps the car cool. If not then I recommend 303. I pinned a comment with a link to the products I used in this video and 303 is one of them. Each time you detail the car put a coat on the dash and it will be good to go. Its good quality UV protection. Thanks for watching

How do you clean the headliner / fabric stuff on the interior of the Tesla? Can we use the p&s xpress cleaner?
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
I have never had to clean the headliner of a Tesla yet. Xpress interior cleaner is for plastics leather etc. The right product for a fabric headliner would be more of a fabric cleaner like Carpet bomber or a highly diluted APC. I would be extra careful no matter which way you go and do a small test area to make sure that its going to improve the situation before going all in on it. Thanks for watching

What are your thoughts on APEX products? I’m a beginner at detailing my own car but I’m learning as I watch all your videos. Also, how does dilution work? How do I do that?
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
I have not used apex products. Dilution is mixing the product with water to make it less potent to meet a cleaning goal. The goal is to use the proper dilution ratio to break down dirt but not waste product. You know you have the right dilution ration when you are able to easily agitate dirt off a surface. Too little product in the dilution and you are scrubbing hard at the surface and too much product and you are just wasting product or with some harsh cleaners you could damage the surface. Most of the products I am using can be used at 100% safely if needed. Just be careful when using some wheel cleaner brands and some all purpose cleaners. They can be harsh. Hope that helps.

Can you recommend a product to "condition" the vegan leather to prevent cracking?
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
I have never conditioned the seats. I believe they come with a coating on the fabric that lasts a long time as long as you don’t use an abrasive like a magic eraser. From all my research a conditioner is not recommended.

@@HawaiiDetailing done. Hopefully you get some new fans and keep making videos about the car, maintenance, and care. Could you do up a vid on your detailing and/or car wash “tool kit”? So similar to this vid but more dedicated on what the products are meant for and what you find the most useful. Maybe things that you consider an essential starter kit vs a pro kit. That way I’d know what to buy initially.

@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
2-4 hours is a rough time frame although it depends on size, dirt level and expectations of the finished product. You can spend a lot longer if you get nuts and a lot less if you are cranking and are not going for perfection. Thanks for watching

Do u apply the 303 Directly to the seats
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t like the look of 303 on the seats. I like mine clean with no protection. You can put 303 on them safely but it leaves a slight shine to them and can be tough to get even. It is personal preference. If you have UV tints than it’s less important to UV protect the interior. Thanks for watching

Hahaha. That’s Funny. I was kinda joking but sometimes they do show up pretty beat up. It’s along way from the source to hawaii. Start with 50/50 for light cleaning up to 100% for the tough stuff. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.

@@HawaiiDetailing Thank you 50/50. Yes lately there's been a lot of beat up freight. Not enough workers to move more equipment so everything has to move on less trailer space so that's how things get damage. Sorry about that. I got to ask your opinion, I'm looking to do mobile detailing as a side gig for the weekend but I looked on line about how many Auto detailers are in town, here in Eugene Oregon, and I kinda got discouraged. The towns population is close to 300k and there's approximately 31 Auto detailers in the area and I feel like there's no room for another one. I don't know it seems that's too many. What would you do? Tks for the input I really appreciate it.

Hello sir I have a very serious question. I live in Los Angeles, California, my entire life. I’ve been to Hawaii seven different times vacationing for a total of 40 days. I love the vibe there. How is detailing in Hawaii is a Profitable? I have the opportunity to move to Oahu with my wife because she salary pay, and her company will make her the regional manager of one of the facilities in Oahu. I’m 37yrs old it’ll just be me and her plus my dog 🐶. Is there details in Hawaii?
