By keeping up with the vehicle's maintenance frequently, the job is not so daunting or overwhelming. I'm so tired of seeing trashed out vehicles on other channels so it is great to see a man who takes great car of his car even though he isn't a professional detailer. Andy, you made the interior look better than new. Pan, I'm looking forward to the video you plan on organizing items in your vehicle. I might be old school but for glass I use the microfiber towels to wash the glass. Use the Microfiber to remove the dirt and stains then follow up with the waffle weave to remove the streaks. The waffle weave I apply a very small spray of glass cleaner to keep it lubricated but not enough to leave streaks.

It may not last as long as we all want but when changing the Cabin Air Filter……I apply a faairly liberal coating of Febreeze to the filter on both sides…..when you turn on the A/C vents a nice fresh scent for a few days……if you can’t bring the vehicle to Hawaii or the tropics….bring the scent of Hawaii or the tropics to the vehicle.

Good job Andy!!! A trick I learned about air fresheners to last longer; take out (or replace) your cabin filter and spray the grooves of the filter with your favorite air freshener and put it back. It seems to last longer than just spraying inside your vehicle.

Weather Tech mats are extremely durable and effective…..sitting in the outside sun to air dry OIS a good step that not only dries but softens then up a bit to be pliable with some flexibility for installation……especially when new and shipped from WT……More critical on 2nd, 3rd row and cargo area mats since some of them are shipped rolled.

Nice job Andy! I like the Andy/Newbie series. BTW, on doing the interior first or last. In summer, I always do interior first while the truck is still in the garage. The reason is I have to wash outdoors and I want to minimize the time the paint heats up to prevent water spotting. In the "winter" (I live in Texas Gulf Coast so had to air quote that), I usually do it in the driveway (more space than garage) and still do it first so I don't drag a wet vacuum hose into the truck.

Great video! You're always asking for DIY tips from your followers. Here's a good one. If you have a Rigid shop vac and the Rigid car detailing kit with the flexible hose, there is a soft bristle brush attachment for the initial vacuum of the cabin. You can just use that attachment. There is no need for a detailing brush and a vacuum handy to collect the dust. Organize On!

Great video. Two questions: Dusting doesn’t leave scratches on the piano black plastic? Why do you vacuum the car first when you’re going to have to get back in when cleaning the rest of the interior?

I really enjoy the small doses of "brotherly love" - what fun is having a brother if you can't roast them every so often. 😉 For the interior detailer - I like the "non glossy" finish. Question, though - my car (BMW i4) has a mixture of leather, plastic, wood, and that funky whatever-it-is non-reflective material on the dash. What interior cleaner/detailer would you recommend there? Love the channel and thanks again for the help!

Thanks Scott! I would recommend a product that can be used on most interior surfaces, has anti-static properties and UV protection: In USA: amzn.to/3NFc8UX In Canada: bit.ly/3D4Ybby

Great video. Shows us common folks good instructions for doing this stuff. What's the mileage on Andy's car? It looks new, but the floor liners says it has some miles and it still looks great. I've washed my cars, myself, forever. I'm 74 and I'm worn out at about 80% now. It's tough to get to the last wipe off, Andy makes it look easy. Maybe I need to change some of my techniques. I think I am working too fast and blowing out what energy I've got left. Thanks for making these videos.

It has about 10,000 km on it if memory serves me well (6215 miles). He doesn't use it as much since he works from home for the time being (pandemic).

I watched you review of top products you recommend for 2021 and its nice to see you don't use them. Well, one, the glass cleaner. I trusted you so I spent a little over a $100 to clean the interior on my truck based on you top products for 2021 interior cleaning. I now question all the other cleaning products I purchased.
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about dude? All the products I recommend I have used or still use. That's the entire point behind my recommendations: I base my picks from real world experience and long term testing. But I can't possibly use EVERY SINGLE product from my awards video in one single video... I hope you were high on something while typing your comment as it makes no sense. Do you expect me to use all three glass cleaners of my awards video in ONE video? And as this is a car detailing channel, I will continue to test and use different products all the time. So it's quite possible you'll see 15 different glass cleaners used through the year in different videos. I'm not just going to use just one. I like testing new products all the time. I don't know what your issue is, but you need to turn down the attitude before saying stupid stuff like "I now question all the other cleaning products I purchased"... Why would you question the products? AHHAHAHA Because I didn't use the specific glass cleaner you purchased in a video you watched? OMG the more I read your comment the more ridiculous it sounds. Leave it to the internet to come up with stuff like this. Quite disappointing. You must not have been following my channel for a very long time, as you would know that I have built a relationship of trust with my audience. There's a reason why my channel is getting ready to surpass 700,000 subscribers and is one of the biggest detailing channels on KZbin: because people trust my advice and like my videos. It's not by chance or through lady luck's help. Hard work and making sure I test products and give my audience all the help they need to guide them through this crazy world of thousands of products to help you guys make good choices.

Hey Pan, I hope you see this even though I’m a few days late. Could you do a review on your garage setup? I just bought a house a few months ago and I want some tips on how to set up my garage as I’m renovating it. Things from waterproofing walls, wall mounted tools, nice to haves, etc.. I would really appreciate it and I’m sure other viewers would as well. Thanks in advance!

Hi Pan! I just completed my first full detail today on my wife’s 2017 Mazda CX-5! I’m pretty sure that’s what your brother has in this video! My first detailing experience was so satisfying, thanks to you sir! A few questions if you don’t mind: 1. When doing a full detail, do you start with the inside or outside? 2. The SUV I cleaned had some bad areas with dried/stuck food, candy, etc. I didn’t want to gunk up a microfiber towel so I used paper towels instead. Is that okay or is there a specific cloth to use in such cases? 3. Today I used Chemical Guys all surface interior cleaner. It cleaned great but did not leave a shine, which I prefer. Is there an interior cleaner you would recommend for this? Again, I am so grateful I found your channel, Pan. You are excellent at what you do and an excellent teacher. Thank you!!

Hi Joe. 1. That depends on what your routine is like. There is no right or wrong answer. I usually do the exterior first, as that's where it usually requires the most energy and that's what the customer sees first, so that's where I want to focus 100% of my energy. 2. I always use microfiber towels. Especially on delicate surfaces like paint. I have towels for the exterior, interior, engine bay, wheels, etc. 3. I'm confused by your question. You liked the Chemical Guys, because it didn't leave any shine. But you want another cleaner? If you want the best interior detailer that leaves no shine, just cleans, no protection, get this: bit.ly/3yyH3MR If you want something that cleans and adds a bit of protection, without that greasy look, OEM finish, use this: bit.ly/3LbAWAF You can see a battle of interior quick detailers here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6DFdp-fl5iJlbc I hope this helps!

@@PanTheOrganizer Thank you for your quick response! Sorry I wasn’t more clear on question 3. What I meant to say is that I prefer an interior cleaner that does leave a shine. The Chemical Guys did not. So…something that leaves a shine as well as UV protection would be perfect. Thanks again, Pan!
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
I don’t like a glossy interior so I have no recommendations unfortunately hehe. Stay away from pro brands in that case as they all give a matte OEM appearance as that’s what most enthusiasts want. Gone are the days of good ole Armor All greasy looking interiors hehe. I remember that Chemical Guys Silk Shine does leave a slight sheen, not greasy though, but more gloss than average. Perhaps look into that.
@JoeCliftonPerry2 жыл бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer Well you just taught me something then! I’m 45 and lived through the Armor All days lol. I don’t want to go for a look that’s no longer “in”. I will refer to your “Best of 2021” as well as those you recommended already. Thanks again!

I like to put something like the mist or elixir on the weather stripping around the the doors but that could be something you do as the exterior wash…
