This Wash Your Car Like A Pro tutorial will cover the entire Exterior Wash process from start to finish explaining how to wash your Tesla. We will cover the Prewash Rinse, Foam Cannon, Wash and Post Wash Rinse. After watching this wash your car like a pro tutorial you will be confidant and competent and ready to detail you car. If you find the hose getting caught under the front tire, there’s a little tool you can get so the hose glides smoothly around the tire..it’s awesome. I like how you didn’t rinse the soap off after the foam step..not sure why people do that. I’ve found that after using the 2 bucket method, the wash bucket has dirt in it after the carwash, which indicated to me that the rinse bucket isn’t getting all the dirt off. I’ve since converted to the 4-to-6-mitt, one-bucket method so I have a clean mitt every time I start a new panel. I use the empty rinse bucket now to throw in the used mitts. Cheers!

Therascals thanks and yes I have seen those things that go on the wheels. They are cool. I do a bunch of microfiber towels and a one bucket method as well. The Gary dean method. I like it a lot. If the car is hardly dirty during a maintenance wash than the 2 bucket method seems to work well. I just make sure to scrub the mitt regularly in the rinse bucket and try to get all the dirt off. Anything to keep the swirls and marring to a minimum. I plan on doing some more vids showing different methods of getting things done.

Question, with the regular detains / exterior cleaning that you perform, is it necessary to get a protective wrap applied to the outside of the vehicle to prevent scratches & chips? Did you have your Tesla wrapped for protection? If so, which areas of the vehicle? Love the videos & links, very helpful.
@HawaiiDetailing
@HawaiiDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
I don’t have any wrap on my car. I do have a ceramic coating. I recommend one of you have the money. There are less durable products out there but a proper ceramic coating is a great thing to have. It provides hydrophobic properties as well and slickness and gloss. The protection can last anywhere from 2-7 years depending on the product.

@@HawaiiDetailing Thanks so much for responding. Love the channel. Very helpful. Will the ceramic coating protect against rocks, paint chipping, scratching? Do you do the whole car? Ballpark / approximate figure for the cost? With regard to washing the interior, you use the 303 on the dash & center console (I have new Tesla w/ matte finish center console)? Do you clean the fabric on the doors? Any recommendations for cleaning / protecting the wood paneling? With regard to washing the exterior, can I use a regular garden hose? Can the foam cannon attached to a garden hose? Can I use a portable power washer? Will the foam cannon attach to a portable power washer? Thanks again for the help, advice and tips!

@@timdrabik6113 ceramic coating protects against dust & helps make washing your car easier as dust doesn’t stick much. To protect against rocks / chips - I would suggest getting a PPF clear bra wrap for the hood of your car . Typical price ranges anywhere from $500-$2,000. A ceramic coating done by a professional cost around $600-$700
