I bought two poster cardboards and taped them on 3 sides. I put my big mat inside and keep it behind my desk. Its stays flat and out of the way. Dust free. I recommend it.

I only use an tiny xacto knife on my cutting mat, but now the cutting mat looks like those cuts i made have extended creating deep cuts which caused the mat to seperate. What do I do??

I spilled a bottle of black ink onto my black cutting mat. I cleaned it up and then just lightly sprayed some diluted bleach to try to make sure I got all the ink off. I got more black on my rag than expected! I'm letting the mat thoroughly dry and relax. I'm just wondering now if there is anything toxic on these self-healing mats. Do you know?? Thanks.

Great tip on cleaning, but my 36x24 mat will not lay flat in a basic tub. Any suggestions?

I was wondering same thing, maybe put it outside on a tarp with the edges of tarp bundled up to right size. Or a kiddie pool?

Because I also used to use my cutting mat for crafts I now have glue stains on it. Any suggestions how to clean that?? It makes it look very nasty. Stupid of me ofcourse 😳. Thanks for these tips!

White spirit on a cloth should help, I'd imagine. I have the same issue, I use my cutting mat for both model kit building and painting, and for fabric cutting. I should probably invest in a second mat for fabric, one that will get less grubby...

Exactly, a kiddie pool. Or use a tarp with corners bundled up so they fit the size of mat.
