If only the furnaces I work on were cleaned like this before I arrive..

That’s an awful 30 second cleaning. It’s the reason I have to go to a call..

And now nowadays that's 225 thank you very much sucker Back in the day there was much more to do when it came to servicing a furnace maybe that's why they lasted so much longer

There is still more to look at... this guy left out 90% of it.

This is nothing. We do much more work. This guy covered barely anything. Most important is to check gas pressure and lubricant the blower fan and deep cleaning
@saffron-scotchuniversalone20429 ай бұрын
How do you get in to clean that fan, thoroughly? That would be a helpful video

Be careful blowing air onto a board as it can result in static buildup

I blew my PC's motherboard to get dust out. Two days later it turned itself off overnight. When I pressed the on button, it would get power for 1-4 seconds and quit. This happened 20-30 times over 3 days of messing with it. Then all of a sudden it worked and has been fine for a week+. Do you think I created static by blowing? No connections were loose. You sound like you might know about this.

@@Kube_Dogsounds like a power supply issue to me.
@Kube_Dog8 ай бұрын
@@DaBeastyGuy17You are correct, sir. It kept conking out, then a friend gave me an old power supply, I put it in Sunday, and it's been on since. Rebooted a couple of times. Seems fixed, I hope. Thanks, and good surmise on your part.

I have a question. What reason would the wires that attach to the switch beside the furnace would be spliced into four segments?

Is the inducer motor also important when cleaniing?
@mountainofdew119611 күн бұрын
May as well, as it blows carbon monoxide out of the desired space

Definitely don’t shut the gas off before you perform a furnace cleaning.

Do you have to shit the flame off ? The piolet light ?
@Anyhourservices10 ай бұрын
On a modern furnace, the flame will only ignite when the unit has power. There isn’t a constant flame like in units of the past that had pilot lights. If your system has a pilot light, it may be better to have an hvac technician look at it before beginning any cleaning.
@HBSuccess10 ай бұрын
1975 called and wants its standing pilot light back 😂😂 LMFAO😂😂

@@HBSuccessSo, in the old days you had to "shit the flame off"? I'd rather use a kerosene heater.

My furnace is so old that the sponge stuff on the sides is crumbling. Can that be replaced and with what please?
@Lkom24 Жыл бұрын
The insulation? I recommend using bubble wrap insulation glued down because there is no fiber glass in it
@GlasshouseaquaticsGHA11 ай бұрын
@@Lkom24what? 😂 you clearly aren’t in the hvac industry
@kangaroogod Жыл бұрын
And this would help the furnace how? It won’t operate better, won’t take care of maintenance related items such as flame sensors, drains etc. kinda like washing your car and saying you perform the scheduled maintenance

Well there is more in depth to talk about forsure cjecking every electrical componet
@alexissanchez1249 Жыл бұрын
More energy efficient, will also lower your bill from it not working as hard due to build up of dust. your coils are important too, if dirty you don’t be getting good air flow in your home
