You are awesome 🎉 Thank you sooo much for demonstrating cleaning, I’ve had a hell of a time trying to keep hood clean the way Ninja says😞 I’m so glad you showed me what I’ve been thinking would work but I’ve been too afraid to try in fear of damage. Love your down to earth style ❤ can’t wait to watch you cook 😋 you mentioned you use air fryer mode after cleaning but not if you add a bowl of water, can you explain better? Thanks again for amazing helpful video

I own 5 foodies in & clean em all the same way. I fill the roasting pans while in the foodie, with h20 and vinegar or lemon juice.....or even Dawn at times. Then I turn the foodie on the highest temp...roast or bake and let it run for about 10-15 minutes. The steam loosens up the grime and allows you to just wipe the crud away. I follow that up by using plain water to steam as to "rinse" away any vinegar/Dawn I used. I use oven cleaner for the mesh plate.

Hi guys, The biggest problem cleaning this thing is access. It’s just really awkward to get at. So I periodically tilt it over weight mostly on its top (resting on a oven glove) take off the four screws (takes a minute) then take the individual parts and clean them, much easier (do it whatever way you feel works best for you). Of course the key is to clean it every time you use it and keep on top of it however every once and a while take it a part and do a ‘deep’ clean. I bring mine up like new when I do it this way. Hope this helps. K

Hello there. I know that you're not the all knowing Ninja expert. But your tips are actually the best I've come across so far. My q: have you ever encountered trouble with the lid sensor? I cleaned my grill like you demonstrated and it started working again. Now after much use,( it's clean, as far as what is visible), the sensor for the lid isn't working. When I close the lid, I don't hear the "click". Wondering if you had any guesses about what might be interfering with the sensor process.

@@CookingWithCJ Hi CJ I found the answer and wanted to share it in case it's ever useful to you or your viewers. The lid sensor is in or near the right hinge. If grease gets in there (which happens a lot for me, even with the awesome way that I learned to clean my grill, From YOu!), it will cause the grill to be unable to sense that lid is closed. Moral of the story, cover/clean that area as much as possible. Use a good degreaser if grease manages to get in their anyway.

I would try it and maybe get a bbq degreaser.

How do you get the screen protector off?
@CookingWithCJ Жыл бұрын
There are little tabs that you push and it comes off.

Loved the video, so chill and relaxed!! Very thorough, especially considering what a pain these units can be to clean 😭.... just subscribed btw 👍🏾

My lid is so filthy I'll try this but maybe the water and lemon juice first, at least that's not chemicals which I'm really reluctant to use.

That looks super nice! I wish that it made it easier to clean behind the fan easily and places that are super hard to reach

Would a hand held steamer work, like is used on BBQ grills?
@CookingWithCJ2 жыл бұрын
You know it might. But I haven’t tried it nor do I have a hand held steamer. Thanks!

Hi CJ, I clean my airfryer basket by hand because I don’t have a dish water. No matter how much scrubbing I do, there are some baked on brown spots that just will not come off. Can you help me?
@CookingWithCJ2 жыл бұрын
Try the bar keepers friend.
@nicolalb6952 жыл бұрын
Hi CJ, the Bar Keepers Friend worked really well! I no longer have baked on brown spots in my airfryer basket. Thank you so much for your help. Love all your videos.
