At least 2000 people searched for this great video, yet less than 200 likes - why? Thanks for the great video.

This is precisely what I was looking for, regarding the IBIS. Many thanks.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial! Recently I was recording RC Planes with narrow aperture and noticed I have messy black spots on my videos. Followed your tutorial and my GH5 has crystal clear image once again.

Also use a 16-17mm Aps-c swab and not a Micro 4/3 size swab. Why? …. Because the 16mm apps c swab will cover the glass (filter glass) and won’t leave any streak lines as the cover glass is larger than those M4/3 swabs (12mm) sensor itself is actually 12m x12mm but the glass is larger. 👍

Locking the sensor makes a lot of sense like with Sony, Olympus, Fuji etc... Basically any camera with ibis. I will need to do this with my S5 when sensor cleaning kit arrives.

HI Alex, thank you for this excellent and useful video. Just one question, how much or how little pressure are you applying when you are swabbing? Are you essentially just using the weight of the swab, or are you pressing down at all? Thank you again.

Press down a tiny bit, so that the dust sticks to the swab, but not too much! Good luck ;)

HI - I put my GH6 into local pro camera repair for sensor clean and it did nothing to clear a line that appears low down in the right hand frame shot at any stop above about f9. Been doing stuff with cameras for years - I mean years 50 plus professionally, so I was surprised that it had not cleared. I've had my canon full frame cams cleaned by them, by canon and I've cleaned them myself, without problems. I went back to the images from the first month or two and the mark was not there. I put the sensor under a high magnification lens and examined its possible position on the sensor opposite side to the mark and could not see anything. I am beginning to think it is a new sensor job or just enjoy working wide open - problem is the Leica long lenses 100-400 start at 6.3 and i'm used to a f3.5/f4.5. My advice to me is to sell the body and buy a G9Mk 2 - except I love all the things the GH6 does...

Very interesting , thank you for sharing. I don't have experience shooting super tele-photo at high f stops, so not sure what the issues might be. But could potentially be some hardware or software issue - not sure :S

I saw this video after I cleaned my gh5. I did see the sensor move about. How do I know if I damaged the image stabiliser? Thanks

Well, just switch it on and do some tests. Hopefully, nothing is broken...

You can also make the sensor shake to remove a bit of dust before using the blower I guess? :)

All IBIS Panasonic cameras have this function, but it sucks and does nothing, not even with things like small fibers or dust that looks loose.
