Thank You Avron. Very helpful...as I didn't know it was called a "cold air intake filter" The parts store wanted to sell me the whole intake system.. telling me the filter wasn't sold separately.

I bought a second filter. That way I can leave the clean one to dry until I need it again. Every other oil change I switch 👌

Ah finally found an answer. I have an AFE intake for my F150 but could NOT remember or find if it was dry or oiled. The website does make it look like the oiled versions are blue, but since you also mentioned it I’ll stick with that. Mine looks just like yours.

you can actually let it dry in direct sun, but not with hot air or presured air, at least thats what the paper instruction says in the kit for oiled filters, wich is the one that I have

According to afe, the grey filters are paper and meant to be replaced unlike the blue or yellow ones. Or am I wrong?

Grey is cotton. Dry filter.

@@Phuong_Nguyen_ Thank you, mine came with truck used so I didn't know.

@@bob_frazier no problem. Wash with laundry detergent is perfectly fine. No need for any fancy wash kit. Let dry for half a day and out it back on.

What kit do I get for the blue filter? Do you know the part number
@EverythingAvron2 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen the Blue filters for this specific "Magnum force" version of the aFe intake.... But the dual cone kit has the blue "oiled" filters. aFe's website will show you the specific part numbers
