Hey Pan awesome video, Side Note I want to thank you. Because of you an ammo`s videos I purchased an Audi Black s3 with low miles from a lady in new jersey, she cleaned her car off with a broom and the entire car was scratched up, that was one reason I received a good deal on the vehicle. I used ammo`s suggestion and bringing a dry mil thickness gauge and determined this would be my ultimate experiment, as there was plenty of clear coat to work with without panel burning. It was my first time doing ceramic coating and using a buffer, it took me about 60 hours of total prep prior to applying ceramic coating, but it was worth every second. I ended up uploading a video of how she looks now and it is amazing, I appreciate the vehicle much more. Thanks again !

Depends on available options. Today was above freezing outside where I am, so I went to the local pay and spray to pressure wash the salt and crud off, then went home and in the garage used a rinse less wash to actually wash, then some spray wax as I dried. It may not be perfect, but for a warm winter day, is good to at least get it clean and add some protection.

This is basically the method I use too. I was curious about using Iron X after cleaning with break buster. Now I see that most of the iron removed was from the rotor there was still some left on the wheel. Since my wheels are not ceramic coated I will incorporate using Iron X every several weeks. By the way I use Iron X twice a year to do a full chemical decontamination, once in Spring and once in the Fall. Thanks for the video as I learned that using just break buster, as good as it is, needs a little help in fully cleaning the wheels 👍✌️
@PanTheOrganizer5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Brake Buster doesn't contain iron removing chemicals, although it will help dislodge looser brake dust particles if applied regularly, but yes, you still need to use an iron remover every month or so. I just like to stay on top of things. ;)

How would you wash or take care of the hex grip pad? I just used it to apply darkside from carpro on my tires thanks to you love your content
@PanTheOrganizer9 ай бұрын
Hi Sergio. I just use the tire dressing applicator to apply tire dressings, so when I'm done using it, I just lay it face down on an old microfiber towel until the next use. When it gets too gunked up, I spray some all purpose cleaner and work it in, and rinse with warm water, and let it air dry. Very simple maintenance.

Is there a special way to clean drag radials that are any different than normal street tires. I have heard products can damage some softer tire compounds. Specifically the mickey thompson sportsman sr is the tire im currently using for my rear wheels.

Should i do this after washing the body or before?
@PanTheOrganizer5 жыл бұрын
I always start with the wheels. You would obviously not dry them and apply the dressing before having washed the rest of the car though.

I saw the tumbnail and thought for a moment you painted the calliper blue. Turns out it was already blue but covered up in some winter dirt. Nice job👌🏼 I'm still looking for a nice wheel cleaner. I used something from a local detailshop, I used Sonax. If this bottle is empty I give P&S Brake Buster a try. Especially in a gallon it's priced very interesting. Around €30/gallon.

Hello Pan. I am an American, middle-aged, woman who just recently purchased her 1st car EVER! It was super clean when I bought it, and I intend to keep it that way. So, I searched on KZbin for car detailing videos and came across some of yours. So far, the toughest cleaning challenge for me has been has been getting my '18-inch Continental tires really clean. Got some Purple Power for the tires and Super Clean for the rims. Those 2 products should get me the results that I want. Plus, they're within my budget! @@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer10 ай бұрын
Congrats on your new car. That's always a fun moment. Super Clean and Purple Power are powerful cleaner/degreasers and not always suited for automotive use. Be very careful. A better option is to use a quality auto grade wheel & tire cleaner. See a video I made about my favourite ones here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJe8i5tnpqdkgrssi=6aRtzJr0ALecrqpY Also keep in mind that a new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5jSqqV5Ypp2g8U So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: RS6 Avant Performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gma2gmOQfq92oJIsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Mercedes S 580: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKLCpZmZrNesjKssi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXzKkmavj7uHp9E Volvo XC60: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqenc3Wbo82MfKM Tesla Model Y: kzbin.info/www/bejne/naDLnKZurbVohLs Porsche 911 Carrera: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJTOmpysl6ukqZY Audi Q7: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmirdHWJi9OcsK8

Hi Pan, Question. Have you heard of steam car wash ? Is it safe for a new car. Do you think it is a better alternative to the traditional car wash? I would love to hear your answer. Thank you 🙏🏼

Where I live, in Montreal, Canada, we have plenty of water as a natural ressource so people don't bother with steam cleaning here. So I haven't tried that unfortunately.

Pan, I am trying to get into the auto detailing service. I know that with steel rotors they love to rust as soon as you wash them. Do you have any product advice on how to avoid the rotors from rusting, or a way to have it not noticeable when dealing with a client's wheels?
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
Yes, that "flash rust" is normal on steel brakes after washing a car. Preventing it is actually quite simple, right after you are done with the final rinse, while the vehicle is still wet, you use this product: bit.ly/40ZcA5D And since you're planning on starting your detailing business, I have a bunch of cool videos that can help you out.
