But because of rising CO2, the "mean altitude" of final radiant heat escape from the atmosphere into space is higher than it was before. That raises the temperature of all the atmosphere below that altitude, which affects glaciation, weather, etc. The Earth is large and the effect is small and subtle, but then so to is global warming. It affects living creatures profoundly because we have all evolved to specific conditions on the planet, and we aren't easily able to adapt to even such small changes so rapidly.

Where's your 75% reduction in emissions number come from? Even if it were true, there's a time lag between reducing emissions, reducing atmospheric concentration, and seeing the actual impact in regards to climate. We DID see the impacts of cleaner air globally when factories all shut down, but the climate will be MUCH slower to respond.

The polar ice caps are melting, the magnetic poles are shifting (though many of us think this would've happened on it's own but not for at least another 500 years, it's starting much sooner that it should due to our impact), and crazier (*not a scientific term*) weather anomalies are occurring each year across the globe. We all need to see what we're doing to our planet and realize the truth that if even continue down this path of polluting destruction, none of us will be able to survive and have to leave for another world (if at all possible).
