Do you have to use a x-horse branded superchip / transponder, for the cloning to work?

Whats the difference or advantage of programming the key vs cloning the key ?

Some cars require a 10-12 minutes wait to program a new key , cloning done in seconds . Other cars you need a pin code to program new keys , when cloning it’s not required

What brand shell or clonable keys do you have to use?

Any shells will do , I use super chip for cloning . The tool will let you know if the original key is Cloneable or not

i understand the point of doing this on some models but on a Grand Cherokee like this its takes like 1 minutes to pull the pin code and program a new transponder key with a basic programmer heck it takes less than take second to programs a transponder key on Most GM product ( when you already have a working key)
