Thanks for sharing your tips. I'm growing in VA, same zone, but still keeping my tropicals inside for the winter. Figs, pomegranates, pawpaws, persimmons, and few others are all outside though. Most are propagated from cuttings or seed, so not sure of cultivar names in most cases.

Hello from Northern VA 👋, I am new to growing fruit trees. I am curious about what varieties of fig trees are you growing? And what is your favorite variety? And how’s your pineapple guava? Did you grow it in the ground or in a pot? Is it cold hardy in our area? I just learned about this fruit from your channel. And is VERY intrigued to purchase some. Thanks 😅😊

Hi neighbor, the common Celeste fig do really well and very productive, super sweet. Other green variety I got from my neighbor is good too. While the other varieties got haven’t much production. You just have to try to get your preferences. The pineapple guava I got in ground and pots.

how old would the fig trees be before you'd plant them in the ground, for zone 7a? very young figs need to move indoors or be heavily covered if in-ground for how many years? thanks
@ItsJustGardening8 ай бұрын
I usually put them in-ground on the next season. They grow really fast if you give it good soil and some fertilizer.

I live in Australia. I did fig cuttings in winter last year (no leaves) and it was not successful. In summer I've had all 6 cuttings grow. I don't understand how you Americans do cuttings in winter. Have you tried it in summer.

I like to do it in summer too, I explained in the video.
