How to close projects in DaVinci Resolve

If you want to close the project, you'd probably think you can go to File and the option would be here
but unfortunately, the only thing we can close from this File menu is the current timeline. So it's going to close the client timeline but that's not what we want to do. We want to close the project itself but the project is still open. There are multiple ways we can close projects in resolve. The first way you
probably already know we can just click on this cross sign at the top right hand corner and it will close the project but the problem with this approach is it's going to close the project but at the same time it's going to close the project manager as well which is our database.
Say if you don't want to close the project manager but open a different project then what you can do is click on this home button at the bottom right hand corner. This is the project manager. At the moment we have this project open that's why we can see this outline. If we want to open another project we can just double click on it and what it's going to do is it will close the other project and open the new one. So that's our second way to close the project.
Say you didn't want to open a new project but just want to close this project what you need to do is click on this home button again or the project manager and right click on the project and go to close
and it's going to close the project for you.

Lol tell me about it mate. Not being able to close a project drove me crazy. I couldn't believe that a software would pass UAT without this basic feature. I think the developers priority is to solve complex problems. The easier ones are left for us to Resolve!

Timely video, yes I still have lots of issues to solve. I end up with multiple timelines and duplicate projects? I’ve learned lots of techniques but can’t seem to do the ‘basic’ thing of opening and closing my projects?🤔🤔🤔🙁 big issue for me.

Do you use multiple databases for projects? I use folders to stay organised. I actually do create multiple timelines intentionally for backup purpose. So have you tracked how exactly you end up with the mess?

Saving often is actually a good practice even though Resolve doesn't crash as often as Premiere. I can make a video of my workflow/ basics if it helps?
