This doesn’t work with mine. It is impossible to align the two latches to get the lock through the hole when you put the clip and strap under itself.

Needs to be broken in. If the fold on the waterproof seal is too loose it gets caught and you can't lock it.

Just got my motobags. Same problem here. I have a hell of a time getting the clasps to fully line up to put the lock through. And when I try to undo the clasps I have an even harder time. I'll try and be mindful of the weatherproof seal being too loose and getting in the way. I've been folding 3 times then connecting together. I'll also try folding twice as stated in video. This is driving me crazy lol. I'm going to try right now...

@@devinhart7288 I had exactly the same problem and even couldn’t open the bags without using a screwdriver! It needed some filing and sandpaper to literally open the clasp hole as it was mechanically impossible to line up. I think that this is a production problem as they might have changed the metal and/or finishing. Quite unacceptable and really really annoying!

@@os6219 Folding the weather proof seal twice and then folding again to line up the lock helped a great deal for me. It still "sticks" some times. Over time it appears to have gotten easier. So like you said; using sand paper to sand it down probably helps a great deal. Thanks for sharing your experience!

ok 1) I do mine the "wrong" way when I know I will be getting in and out of my bags often, as it is faster. 2) when I ordered my bags the lock that was advertised was a key lock. Having to dig my glasses out to see the combo lock is a non-starter. As is trying to undo them at night. Don't get me wrong I am very happy with my bags but I did wind up buying my own locks. Also, the include instructions say to fold them under 3 times. So is it two or three?

Hi and thanks for your comment. How you like to close your bags is totally up to you. All we can do is recommend to our customers the way we designed it. The locks have been changed because of feedback from our customers. Suppose, You can only try. BTW, I'm wearing glasses as well. Regarding the last point, well, if you fold twice as per video and then fold again to hook it into the mounting plate, that makes it three. I think we can both agree that there are many ways to get a job done. Thank you so much for your constructive feedback. In the end, your input will make a better product, and that is great for everyone. All the best Steph

@@LONERIDERMoto Let me clarify on the glasses thing I ONLY wear them to read. So if I need to deal with a combo lock I have to dig them out. And if I am trying to undo them at night I need to dig out a headlamp and my glasses. My reason in mentioning it is that it is not what I told I was getting when I ordered the bags. And double check the instructions, it says to fold it three times, that is step 1. I am very happy with the bags, just pointing out the slight problems I had.

How come my bags don't buckle together as easy as yours? I have to use a punch to get the buckle to fasten together so i can lock the bag!

It seems like I have a different version of the motobags. I use my straps on the left and right side of the moto bags and also i don't have the "lock" on the bracket. Anyway - thanks for the video and keep up the good products. Stay safe.
