Love the detail you include in your videos. Although I haven’t had to install new sheets of drywall as of yet, I’m in the process of fixing nail pops & holes. Your videos have helped a lot. I can’t tell the repairs were even done after sanding & painting.

No matter which method I use, the compound over the screw shrinks and sinks in a little as it dries and I have to go over it again. I use All Purpose ready mix.

I need a video where the screws are sticking out and they wont go in when I push on them. I did my pantry and is a mixture or mortar and wood. No matter what I did, you can see the screws and gave up because my food needed to go back.

I've ran into similar situations. Can't really tell unless I seen what you're working with but I've actually had to use a Durock screws. They tend to get the extra bite you need & they're corrosion - resistant. I've also used my drywall hammer to make indentions so they can seat a little further. Part of me wants to suggest using caulk as well but I remodel & I'd hate to have to come behind it lol. Wish you the best.

What's the easiest way to cover trim nails? I tried caulk and I can still see them☹ I guess the person who put up the trim didn't get them in flush and I can't get them to go in any further- I don't want to rip it all out and start over🥺

You buy a nail set, and then you can tap them into just below the surface, putty them, sand. It smooth, or at the very least wipe off the excess.
