i have a little garden and i add leaves, sawdust and basically anything that is laying around after i chop wood or do any work outside. it keep the ground wet and fertile. i had only pure clay before with absolutely no bugs insides. now i have beautiful black earth that is ample and fertile with plenty of worms. i get all my need for a 4hours fishing in a single shovel.

Brilliant video buddy and great for people to know, who don't like free bait lol. Another good tip is to put black plastic on top of the layers of wet cardboard which creates more moisture and prevents light getting through which keeps the worms higher too. I always use my used compost bags or grow bags cut in half. Yeah that worm juice from the wormery is the best plant feed ever, black gold. I bet it would add tons of natural attraction to groundbait mixes too (which I've never done, but will be now) have a great week and tight lines, best wishes and stay safe and well to you and your family buddy

nice one mark great idea for when the ground is baked dry and you can,t get worms leave a damp area and just pick them up nice one,,,,i use worms mainly for perch of course but carp as well on over fished carp lakes fished on the lead with two or three worms on,,, ,and on rivers for chub and bream ,,worm and maggot cocktail is good better still worm and floro pinkies ,i am fishing the avon at stratford on monday for roach dace perch and chub so will be taking worms as well as pinkies and maggots,,chopped worm on canals is deadly for big perch with a red worm and caster on the hook i use the caster just to keep the worm on barbless hooks ,well mark great tip look forward to seeing you on your next video with another adventure on the bank,,

Thanks for that Mark, for years I have been using the washing up liquid method but critically not washing them off which explains why when I catch a fish its always blowing bubbles!!! (and their not West Ham supporters either!)

One place I've found is really good for finding a few worms in a pinch is to check the road sides on more rural lanes near drains, if there's a bit of organic material built up it'll be full of dendras

Hi, don't waste that cardboard, just lay or layer it on any bare areas of the garden beds, if you don't like seeing cardboard then lay some soil on it as, it will help to stop the light which stops weeds and acts as a mulch.

When I dig for worms I use a small garden fork. I don't usually cut any in half that way. I'll be trying Mark's cardboard trick though. I have the perfect area to do it in.

Yes not only do the life span of collected worms is compromised but also the area exposed to the detergents will become seriously prone to bio depletion How often can you harvest a given area under cardboard..? Cats love cardboard boxes...it it a breed of feline?
@mihaiad864 жыл бұрын
I collect them from the shop :(. it's 3 euros the plastic box, like 10 canadian worms, or 2 euros for 30 small dirt worms.
