I know you posted this video a year ago but THANK YOU FOR THIS!! 😍 I’m actually colouring this EXACT picture (in the grayscale version as well) and I was specifically looking for tutorials on how to colour water droplets. When I saw the thumbnail for this video, I almost couldn’t believe it. How lucky! I’m doing my rose a completely different colour but, with how you’ve explained this, I can see it makes almost no difference to the method. Thanks again. I’m a new colourist (started December of last year) and videos like these are so so important to me. Now to figure out how I’m going to tackle those pearls. 😂 Take care and happy colouring! ☺❤

This is great. Thanks so much. Is it better to do the droplets first and then fill in the area around them or vice versa or does the order even matter? I’d definitely like to see more of these “How I Color ______” videos. Could you do one on the way you colored the pearls in this one? They are lovely too. Also do you ever do marker base with shading on top ? I’d love to see a tutorial on that. I’m unsure of what color to choose for the base. Should it be the lightest possible shade of the color you want or more of a mid tone shade? Thanks Emma.

Hi hun...I don't think it really matters I do a bit of both depending on my mood ...I am still adding how I color videos to the series so not to worry...I will stick them in the playlist with the others as I do them....I do rarely use a marker base for things so next time I do I will film it for you guys...If I am using a marker base I always go with the lightest color I can if its skin other things depend but never dark....if you just want to add some shadows then a mid tone for simpler pictures is fine...thanks for watching hun ..hope this helped
