"I never use reference" You will regret that, trust me I always used the "Selection" tool to color, and It keeps having these little jittery white pixels, because For SOME reason, even after your tips, my lines dont look smooth, so I wanna ask What resolutions would you recommend??
@TutsByKai5 жыл бұрын
I never regret things! :D Using references aren't 100% necessary, unless you're drawing someone who exists. If I wanna draw a random girl, you don't really need to look at a picture of some random girl :D It may help, if you're not comfortable with proportions, or angles yet... but it's not necessary. Even after all my smooth line videos? I didn't really talk about line smoothness in this one... since it wasn't about lines, but color... so if you haven't yet - try checking out my smooth lines video (or any of my other smooth lines videos) that I recently posted! That should clear things up :) If you're on Windows, you may wanna fiddle with your pen settings there.. instead of in Krita. Windows is silly... and messes stuff up too easily. As for which resolutions to draw in... high ones. If I'm drawing in a 16:9 aspect, I usually draw in 2560x1440. If I'm making a logo, I usually create it in 3000x3000, if I'm drawing something where I don't particularly have a aspect in mind... I draw at, at least 3000x3500 :)

Yeah, that's why I do it on a second layer, underneath the lines. If you do it above the lines layer, then - you'll be able to the all the places you went outside the lines. And I'd be a pain to draw the color on the same lines. Almost impossible! :)

You never use reference? You don't use tools like alpha inheritance or create layers for shade/highlight? I think this is bad advice. Most people use the lasso tool then fill with a solid color inside their art and then alpha lock it and paint so you can move your pen wild and loose. Doing it like this and zooming in to paint with one color, then why even bother using digital? The whole point of doing digital is being able to do more faster rather than spending days tracing with a light table like comic artists used to do.
