My experience with color correcting has been limited tbh, especially since I haven’t the right product yet. I was in ULTA today looking for the NYX orange corrector and didn’t find it but I did find another amazing product - the Algenist color corrector drops, in the shade Apricot!! It feels really light on the skin but covers beautifully (unlike the Becca corrector which felt like literal paste on the skin). I’m definitely hopping on the color correction bandwagon for real now.

I have used an orange colour corrector in the past and it didn't work for me. After watching this I now understand why. I used to put a lot of colour corrector on and not blend it that well. I'm going to try this technique out again.

I'm lankan so I have tanned skin and I've been wondering what kind of colour corrector to buy to better conceal hyperpigmentation, I was thinking of buying the UD colour correcting concealers but this was so useful, will make sure to try the nyx on first. Just food for thought: would have been even more helpful if you could do comparison of face without colour correcting and with! lova ya 💕

Nyx and l.a girl concealer and correctors are really good! Do try Kat von d foundation as they really work very well for hyper pigmentation. It's super full coverage. Urban decay oxidized on me turning me 3 shades darker than I am :(

Hey! You need a good skin care routine to have flawless makeup 💄. So you can start of by exfoliating your skin and then using toner and moisturizing. It gives a smooth base for ur makeup to hold onto. One natural remedy I recommend is turmeric with milk to apply and leave it on the face until it's dry and rub it off before washing with lukewarm water. It works great for lightening you skin and bringing glow and sure exfoliate ur skin with the dry bits! And rose water as a toner to tighten ur pores. And finally moisturize with smthg that's gel based that isn't oily. My 2 favorite concealers are nyx orange concealer and LA girl concealer. But use them little at a time as they are pigmented and turn your face orange. So I prefer using my fingers to melt them into my skin. I have a oily skin. So I like to dust my face with some finely milled powder, current favorite coty airspun, with a brush and then apply sm concealer on top and dab with a sponge before applying my foundation. With this technique I hardly need foudation and only use powder to set my face after concealing :) And do select your concealer based on your undertone, I suggest having 1 in your actual shade and 1 that is 2-3 shades lighter. Yes your skin tone does matter. I'm brown too. It helps to cover up my dark circles before brightening them with lighter shades. If I use smthg that is light it makes my under eye look Grey and ashy! Pick smthg that suits you undertone and consistency that suits your skin type. And do have a good primer. It makes a huge difference.

Anis Nordin perhaps the corrector you're using is too creamy, and therefore moves around a lot. Or perhaps you may want to find a stick foundation rather than a liquid one 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ the cheapest option is trying out the nyx corrector anchal was using uno ?? Might improve the situation 😬😬

Anis Nordin I'm about an NC40 also...and have the same issues with super orange correctors! I mix the orange corrector with another regular concealer to get a peachy orangy shade... The shade of the corrector is supposed to be more or less along your skin color, but in an orange tone. And the most important thing you need to do is to let the corrector/concealer dry (set) for a few minutes before going in with foundation. This works for me....hope it can for you too😊
