Thank you for sharing. Your tutorials are such valuable tools, and this one did not disappoint! I've always wondered how white flowers were created! Also, I really love the peaceful & relaxing background music you chose. It's like an added bonus to learning new techniques 👏😍❤❤❤

Question. Should you always know what your background will be so you know what accent color to use? I am finding your explanation and process of white flowers intrigueing and I will be trying this out.

So usually I do backgrounds last. I only do them first when I need to mask off the other elements. Mostly just with water mediums. So you can definitely do the flowers first then work your background in to your colour palette 🤗🤍

Hi lovely, it's the Paul Rubens Meiliang watercolour palette. There is a review video on the channel where I colour this background to test them out if you want to see the exact colours 😁

I know you’re showing this stuff in depth, but it still doesn’t work!😄 the masking fluid ripped the page, I got colour on the flower, and my pathetic background looks like crap. You must have some kind of magic happening. Or my skill is sh!t. I’d say both.
@MyColourfulCountryLife7 ай бұрын
Oh no! Okay so I get colour on the elements sometimes too usually when I miss a bit when I’m applying the masking fluid. I’m not sure why yours is still ripping. Are you using a different brand of masking fluid, maybe it works differently. Can you feel it starting to rip when you’re gently rolling it off with your finger? Maybe keep testing it out in scrap paper just the application and the removal. Maybe draw a rectangle and try applying, leave it a few hours and try removing.

Just wanted to share my experience. Don’t rush, let the masking fluid dried completely before ripping and rip it off gently. Paper quality is a factor too. Patient is the secret or magic. 😊
