I am producer and I paying 40% for sales hero , I never tell to Sales hero’s what to do. I’m just say : do your way , try what ever you like - you get 40% from Product price ( sample wrist watches over pc. 250€ ) But why 40% ? /-My risk is production and warranty’s , branding , product service and shipping. /-Your risk is your time , experience and marketing invest. I'm about to start a new business and I have no experience on a commission-based employees my question is what percentage will work for the sales employees and and I do believe that the commission will only become off of the labor the product I'm selling prefabricated structures does their commission come off the total sale of the product and the labor or only off the profit to install and put together structures

The commission would be based on how much they sell. A reasonable commission rate also depends on the salary, and the value of the sale. A range of 20%-30% is a reasonable commission rate

When you speak of 10% or more of commission, are you referring to the gross sale or the profit? I have had sales people in the past the try to sell by low price and the winners are the customer and the salesperson but not the company. What is your thought on that?

As a new business owner with low revenue, I'm hiring people on a purely commission basis. I'm offering a a very generous commission on each product and wanted some tips on how to maintain excitement and motivation. I really want to be paying my staff a basic and have them work for me long term, ideally id like an office in the city to work from with sales staff, but right now its just not feesable. If anyone can recommend ways to obtain a m monthly basic salary to be able to keep my staff then id love to be enlightened. Instead of offering the commission, you could offer the salary with a smaller commission! It's going to take some time for your business to build up revenue, so just keep pushing!

Bootstraps small B2B here and I think 10% won't motivate anyone in today's economy. I have very little overhead costs, so I'm thinking of starting at 10% and increment 5% with every business they bring on board. Obviously cap at a certain point. I don't like the large corporation examples in the video. Most people aren't large corporations. Bootstraps examples, please.
