Hey man, I just wanted to say thanks for delivering so much valuable content. As a single father going through an expensive custody battle and losing everything, I am one of the people who could use the coaching and mentorship more than most. My personal development and success as an entrepreneur are critical to my survival. I know what it is like to have to get up and give it my best, when I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Needless to say, even if I did have the money to pay these people, I probably wouldn't have used it properly, then after a month or two, I would just have to write it off as a loss. I loved this video Pat, I knew about Heinz and Haloid, so I was happy you mentioned them, I also know and appreciate that you are giving this valuable content for FREE. But I have one problem. Each time I try to go in a discussion with my friends about subjects like these (Big companies, Your channel, Entrepreneur mindset, Motivation, Exercising, etc) people just seem to find me boring and try to change the subject into talking about what people said and did and other gossiping. Hey Pat, you give all this stuff away for free. Believe me, after reading a few books on business/finance/taxes etc. and only starting to make a few inquiries on the ground about my business idea (haven't even started yet), you're only touching the surface of all these subjects. But in the meantime you're inspiring loads of people, including me! And that's invaluable. One thing I took from this is to look for DBCs in your market (or adjacent markets) to find points of differentiation. If you find a nice DBC they might have done most of the research work for you, but they are too big to really seize the opportunity; they lack the mobility and speed to do it well. First of all, I love your energy! When I watch your videos you energize me to go further extra miles in my business. Yes you are right regarding positioning I am specialized in selling Tungsten Carbide Rings and I am dominating this niche in my country in the Middle East where I had to educate customers what is Tungsten when I started selling them back in 2016. Thank you for this video. Your timing could have not been better for for me. I have been re-evaluating my position in the market place as a video and audio production company. I have a specific style that I employ and it differs from the "big guys." I have been standing my ground because I know my style is effective (based on client feedback) and is solely "client benefit" driven. I don't like to be a follower especially when the "big guys" can't justify their technique any further than "it's what everyone else does" in the industry. You are absolutly right. There's a big change going on in the programming branch. Developers used many languages like C++ and Java which run on Windows, Mac, Android, iOS. Today we see that JavaScript, the language which every web browser can execute is going to replace them. Web browser, engines and frameworks allow the use of JavaScript in web browsers, on servers and every operating system. That's why many adaptive and flexible companies like Facebook, Airbnb and Netflix started using it. Many other companies are still using several languages to get their product on every platform instead of just one (JavaScript). I am very convinced that JavaScript is going to be the future on every device out there. I will definitely concentrate my business on the 95% that are important instead the 5% that no one uses!
