Valuetainment Will do. Because I’m seeing a disconnect with those who “have money” and their ability to cheat those without it. Wealth has absolutely NOTHING to do with hard work, nor education. But, however, working for someone for pay does not equal up. A cheap employer will always have an excuse for not compensating properly/fairly, yet always has money for himself/herself. The money game, which is what this is, is not fair and most employers Will steal wages salary when given the opportunity. Just my experience when I hear “employers” brag about pay.

What if through a set of skills, someone has more expeirence, doing it long but can outperform, create a team dynamic because of said level? What about outside and around the corner thinking, planing but not over anticipating. 😅 I work for much less now! doing entrylevel stuff I did in the military as a SPC. Europe! I can't get out of recreuting agencies, because I have a residance in Germany. Local secter feel threatend by my expierence but want to hire and fire me to keep a bottom feeder mentality. I can't get a good job because I over stayed as an American but can't really work as a Local National. I get a hassle because protected employees sleepwalk through their job! The sad truth, I am living on the verge of poverty, can't get ahead. I will eventually file bankruptcy.

Another great one!! Very timely too. We own a small but growing business and we are struggling with finding good employees. As a small business, we don't have a ton of $ for payroll but its a learn on the job position. We do hand out bonuses for particularly long hours or a difficult gig. The jobs are entry level but with the company growing this fast, there is plenty of future ahead and skills to learn. One of the things we encourage is sales with commission- anything they bring in completely organically, they get a cut. We don't have to front the money so it saves the payroll, but it also incentivises them to CREATE their own bonus. They also tend to take ownership of those jobs, proud of them, and they reach a little higher. Its a 3 way win and it helps team build because they actually have emotional skin in the game and are personally invested in building the company. We really hope they stay and grow with the company. There's definitely a generational divide in work ethic and the snowflake influence on our employee base. This is really a great video explaining how and why to pay people and how to incentivise employees to bring out their best ;) Thanks so much!!

another piece of great advise i have taken and used to full extent, find old retired people who would love to get out of the house for a while. offer them none to a tiny bit of workload and sincere respect to advise young unexperienced workers. they often don't want much money from you if they want any and they greatly enhance unexperienced workers.

Thank you, Patrick for clarifying an opaque or murky area. I recruit the rock stars of the insurance world. My clients are the CEOs or presidents of large insurance organizations and to make the decision making easier or more smooth, I’ve come up with a scorecard called Avatar. Avatar is one who is great in their echo system as defined by their skills, traits, tenure, and pain. My clients and I collaborate and create his/her avatar, I’ll go fetch them, they interview multiple times and when it comes to make a decision, these CEOs and their hiring team each rate the candidate in a scale of 1-10 and let the numbers be a strong guiding light. I’ve had 99.11% success rate when it’s come to tenure

Hourly pay if for simple skill sets. Salary means you are valued and are needed in the company. When in a salary position go above and beyond to have leverage in negotiating price point. Salary + sales/bonus is like a pot at the end of the rainbow. Giving equity is more for long term partners. Don't put a cap on sales cause there will reach a point where they are no longer incentivized. Sales is king. Give equity to those you believe can bring immense value. Numbers don't lie. Know the market value of a position.

Yeah, I'm not gonna remember all this. I'll just hire people to do and get the people I need to start my company with. We'll all communicate and see what and who all we need. I always come up with new inventions, I'm a go getter and would love to know where to look for a team at to begin my journey.

Patrick, what is your stance on labor unions? Do you think workers should be allowed to unionize? Are you for or against workers unionizing?

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm not sure we'll be adding ASL, but we added subtitles for that purpose. Hope that helps! ~ Rebecca (VT support)

Hi Patrick, your work is amazing! I've been following your channel for a quite a while and I can say I learn so much that I can't even handle at one. I take notes every time when I watch your video, sometimes I go and watch the video more than once! I have noticed you always talk the "sales" is the key, "sales" is the king, but what about the other people who are not on the product side. Running a software company without good product is not decent strategy as well. What is your advice to those who develop/produce the great product and make it literally easier for the salespeople to sell it? Thank you for your amazing work and knowledge you provide to all of us!
