Delegation is making a photo copy of your skills, experience, personality, work ethic, and mindset. This way you can be in 2 places at once and so on. Henry Ford said better 1% of 100 people than 100% of myself.

Damn Pat I love your shirt! I graduated high school with a 1.8 GPA and use to be embarrassed about that but now I find it funny that at one point thats how every one defined me as a 1.8 GPA dropout type of student, even my mom told me the best job I would get would be a landscaper. funny enough thats what it took for me to wake the F up and prove my real worth. I'm now 20 with three businesses now getting into real estate, so shout out to the 1.8 GPAers!

Summary of Laws to delegate like a millionaire: 1) Delegate Up: learn how to delegate tasks to people who are professionals at their line of work (don't try to learn it all yourself) 2) Can this time be used more effectively to increase the value of your business? Ask yourself this & think about how you can use freed up time to grow your business & make more $. If you can add more value by doing something else then DELEGATE. 3) Just because you're best at it doesn't mean you should do it. (i.e You may be very effective at greeting customers, doesn't mean you should do it or you can be great at case management -->doesn't mean you should.) Your time is better spent growing your business. 4) Force yourself NOT to do it. Sometimes it's like an addiction to want to do everything because you think you can do it better, but you won't grow by doing it all yourself. 5) Duplicate: Teach someone. You will be judged on how you "duplicate" a certain person that you delegate a task to that you no longer want to do (i.e teaching someone to answer your phones). You have to be able to teach them well to do a task very well. 6) Match up accordingly: Don't match up people who are not good at certain tasks (i.e Don't put someone at front desk if they don't like people) --> that's not smart delegation. Before delegating a task make sure they're good or can be good at that task based on their personalities/skills/expertise. 7) Inspect until you trust: Keep inspecting the person you delegate the task to, to make sure they're doing a good job, then trust them and let them be on their own. Don't just let them be, before you verify they're doing the work up to your standards 8) Be clear on what you're expecting to do: Give proper clear instruction & verify your team gets what they need to do 9) Stop doing $10 and hour jobs. (stop ironing, shining your own shoes..etc). 10) Hire project managers/contractors: By doing this , it allows you to focus on bigger projects. 11) Be a leader, not a do-er of all. Be a do-er of where you increase the value of your abilities, your company. Don't be a do-er of everything, that's not a good thing! Now if you're looking to scale your business affordably, virtual assistants may be the perfect option for you: virtualassistantservicesnow.com/ . *Also if you're curious about what tasks you can delegate go to our site & receive your free checklist -->It'll help you save time to have it laid out for you!

Wise people delegate - love it! Delegation is key to get out of your own way and see true success. Don't get addicted to doing everything yourself! Some words of wisdom in this video. Cheers!
@messer7bc8 жыл бұрын
In early stage of startup it's so difficult to delegate. If somebody disappoints the loss is usually hard to swallow and you go back to yourself saying "next time I'm gonna take care of that myself". So it's important to catch the moment you should start delegating. BTW. would be great if you provide more content targeted to small startups in their early stage... ;)

a lot of these big channels are targeted towards startups created by high income people, cause those clients have the money to buy their programs. I'd suggest you check out smaller channels. They provide valuable content, since they figure out how to be resourceful with what they have to succeed & share that knowledge

Delegate Up , become wiser and become effective at the job that builds your empire. I think many people are too afraid of spending money on 10$/hr job and become worth this 10$/hr guy or gal. so you decide your worth. Thanks Patrcik .

I struggle with this... Ever since I was in school, I have been an "overachiever". Not to mention, I can be a perfectionist. I'm little by little learning though. It's hard to hand over things to others, but I appreciate the wisdom here, Pat! Definitely going to push through and see where I can delegate more!

This video represents every reason why I love this Channel. To truly learn and understand something you have to hear both sides of an issue. Most media today is overwhelmingly bias, it's all I'm right and you're wrong without ever actually hearing the other side of an issue. Thank you so much Patrick for always doing your research and giving us quality information to base our own opinion on.

Delegation is one of those fundamental tools like reading. If you don't do it, you're missing out in a huge way, figure out how to do it. My next goal is outside of work, figuring out how accept paying to delegate more home tasks like raking leaves, cleaning, etc. Right now I hate opening my wallet to pay someone when I could do it.
