Excellent guide. The evolution pathway provided has most of the relevant moves to make Machinedramon a powerful physical attacker. I'm more of a PvE expert, but it sounds like similar movesets are useful in both item-less challenges and competitive battling. On the subject of Machinedramon in particular, one was very useful to me in a No Items No Death run of Cyber Sleuth thanks to its support skill Full Functionality providing immunity to Sleep. Since it didn't have a penetrating attack (and I refused to give up Sleep immunity for 80% accurate piercing by evolving to Chaosdramon) it became more of a support Digimon and I'd like to go a bit more in detail about Machinedramon's support utility. The key to a Support Machinedramon moveset-wise is Megadramon. It connects Machinedramon to Goldramon, UlforceVeedramon, and BlackWarGreymon. Goldramon gets X-Aura and Support End. UlforceVeedramon gets Mental Charge Field and Speed Charge Field. And BlackWarGreymon gets Guard Charge Field. Combined with Machinedramon's own Attack Charge Field, it becomes a very flexible unit that can boost any of the team's stats depending on what the situation calls for, as well as heal and negate enemy support skills. It also spent some time as MetalGreymon Blue to learn Critical Charge before de-digivolving to Greymon and then evolving to Megadramon, which was another option to support its teammates, who happened to have attacks that already had increased critical hit chances (Darkdramon and a pair of Cherubimon Black). It of course also had Physical Drain from Devimon, as well as Acceleration Boost from Greymon since it was a major damage dealer earlier on in the run. No farm training since I try to avoid it if possible, but I did settle on Durable Personality in the post-game for that extra bit of HP.

@KooriPlays
@KooriPlays 3 жыл бұрын
Competitive is hella fun! I also have vast experience on Pokémon competitive, and I gotta say that Cyber Sleuth is a completely different beast. Cyber Sleuth handles team strategy very differently from Pokémon since you will always have 3 Digimon out no matter what. Turn order is not just determined by speed, it’s also affected by the moves you choose to use. For example, using an expensive skill like Perfect Revival will push you down the turn order even if your Digimon is supposed to be fast. Abilities and held items also stack their effects, which Pokémon can’t do. There are so many things, but I think you get the idea ;)

@@KooriPlays word I might have to pick up Cyber Sleuth then, haven't touch anything Digi in years, but Cyber Sleuth still looks fun and if I'm being honest, Evil Cherubimon is baked into my memories I think haha, so I kinda want to bop with him. Maybe we could play.

IMO, my favorite "Healer" is Rosemon Burst Mode. Her passive causes your Digimon to automatically regenerate a percentage of their total HP at the end of their turn, she has access to some really good healing skills like Final Aura (and the stats to make her healing really good), and her signature skill heals her based on the amount of damage it deals. Lilithmon is another great INT attacker (Phantom Pain just on it's won is amazing), and if you have the ability to inflict Bug, then you don't need to worry about her Virus type meaning she will do reduced damage against Vaccine types. Armageddemon is also a really good damage-dealer, and as an added bonus has a passive that boosts Armageddemon's damage against all of the Royal Knights (meaning he's effectively a Royal Knight counter, and you're pretty likely to run into Royal Knight Digimon in PvP). He has an AOE Dark move (Black Rain) that has a 20% chance to inflict Panic in addition to it's good damage output, and he has a 3-hit single-target Fire move (Catastrophe Cannon) that does absurd damage at the cost of Armageddemon losing his next turn. All things considered you can still make just about any Digimon work well with enough time and effort.

I have a bit of a question, I am trying to build a RustTyranomon aside from the two skills that every digimon for Comp has, is it better to build to cover bases so it can threaten multiple elements of Digimon go all in on one or two elements? I was thinking to grab Wolkenpalm 3, Saint Knuckle 3 and Air Claw 3, or would it be better to grab a move like Character Reversal?
@KooriPlays
@KooriPlays Жыл бұрын
As far as coverage goes, you won’t need a lot. RustTyrannomon is a physical attacking Virus type. If you’re considering the competitive meta, then you’ll want coverage for Sakuyamon, Rosemon BM, Dianamon, and Taomon. Mach Rush 3 will also suffice a lot of the time. Consider getting more utilities instead like Chain Max, Revive, or even Safety Guard.

@@NobleFaeriie Apologies for replying so late. Either of them can Digivolve into anything. For the purposes of this response, we will start off with Antylamon. Antylamon> Turuiemon> Lopmon> Devimon (MANDATORY: Get Physical Drain here)> DemiDevimon (OPTIONAL: get Panic Wisp here)> Devimon> MetalGreymon (Blue)> Greymon (MANDATORY: get Acceleration Boost here)> Agumon (Optional: get Attack Charge here)> GeoGreymon> RizeGreymon> ShineGreymon (MANDATORY: get Chain Max here)> RizeGreymon> GeoGreymon> Agumon> Greymon> MetalGreymon (Blue)> Devimon> DemiDevimon> IceDevimon> Cherrymon Once you reach Cherrymon you can choose to either go GranKuwagamon or Puppetmon because Cherrymon has access to both. If you have the right tools to grind (3 or 2 PlatinumNumemon with Tactician USB in a good place to gain exp) would take about 30 minutes for me. Its easy when you get used to it. Note that, ofc it depends on the number of skills you want to get :D

It works with just about any Digimon you want to use, Machinedramon was simply an example in this case. Other great Virus options would be Lilithmon (Phantom Pain is OP as hell!) & Beelzemon Blast Mode. For Data you have Rosemon Burst Mode (who can easily be one of the best support/healer Digimon in the entire game due to her passive, signature move, and her ability to learn really good healing moves like Final Aura), Sakuyamon, & Kuzuhamon (Kuzuhamon saved my ass in the first game during the Great Challenge battle against Alphamon, Omegamon/Omnimon, & Gallantmon), for Vaccine you have the likes of Alphamon Ouryuken, Omegamon, Omegamon Zwart, & WarGreymon....and for Free type you have Armageddemon (who has the added benefit of a unique passive that boosts Armageddemon's damage output against all Royal Knight Digimon, so it can also work as a counter to Digimon like Alphamon, Omegamon, & Gallantmon....and it has 2 signature moves: Black Rain which is an AOE Dark move that has a 20% chance to inflict Panic on each target, and Catastrophe Cannon which is a 3-hit Fire move that does obscene damage at the cost of Armageddemon losing it's next turn to "recharge"). And those are just a few examples. Lucemon can be really good as either a Vaccine (as his Rookie form is still very powerful) or Virus (as Lucemon Satan Mode).

@KooriPlays
@KooriPlays 4 жыл бұрын
Actually, this game give you several ways to deal with statuses! The easiest way is equipping Master Barriers. You can also use Status Barrier and Restore to help you further protect yourself and your team. Lastly, certain Digimon like Kentaurosmon and Hudiemon reduces the chance of status ailments affecting your party.
