Been waiting for this vid, love ROTK LL. The worst thing I find is if Aragorn looses a duel his def 5 is not good. Also I think you mentioned striking up both hero’s in a duel together but you would never need to do this as the fight as a whole takes the highest fight value dosnt it?

Thank you! and i agree it hurts being D5!! And the only reason i suggest striking both is the amount of times i really needed th F10 and Strider rolled a 2 striking up can cost me my leader (Vs the Balrog or sauron ect) So with the king i have another roll to fall back on to get at least one person to F10 (Even tho the LOTD needs a 5+ to get there) Then as you said the whole fight is F10 with the elven-made bonus giving me a very good chance of winning even on a tie roll :) Hope this makes sense

Maybe a little bit late to the Party but i Hope you will read it. I am going to a tournament in September. Therefore i want to Play the Return of the King LL. I can spend 900 Points. Which Heroes should I take beside the King of the Dead and Aragorn? Legolas and Gimli, a Herald with Legolas, or only Legolas? Thanks in advance.

Hey!!! I always try to get back to comments if i can haha And at 800pts I would say Legolas just so you have that range threat and the lovely ability to de-horse heroes! Heralds are great but I prfure more troops so I would go with the one extra hero but of course im not the boss of ROTK so if you want a herald as well go for it he wont let you down! But Gimli is my lest fav as he is slow and does not really bring anything to the army bar 3 might (We are not low on defence or killing power)

Thank you for your quick reply. I think I will try out both options (Herald/Legolas, Legolas alone). At 900 Points I hope I can fit in the herald without loosing to much body's. Really love the model. :)

is this rule scenario specific? because I couldn't find any rules like this stating you can play legendary legions in normal open play

You can run a normal Army as per the rulebook states Or in the supplement books it will tell you how legions work. But you can 100% use them in normal play just have to follow the restrictions of whatever legion it is (In this you must brink Strider and the King ect ect)
