Thanks for this video. Is the Laos visa an ink stamp in your passport page? Or is it still the big sticker that takes up the entire page of the passport? In 2019 it was still the big sticker and the visa was bought at the physical border and there was no online e visa platform I remember.

Thanks! It’s still a sticker. It was a sticker that took up a whole page for me as well, though some people have said it’s about half the size now, though you get stamps with it.

Thanks for the video, have a question on the same. I'm staying in Singapore but have an Indian Passport. What should I put in State/Province field? Is it the Indian state, where I was born or should I enter Singapore?

I am backpacking SE Asia in August. My "intended date of entry" will be August 20. But things might change by a couple days. Does it matter if I end up entering August 19 or 21?

Your visa just needs to be valid for the day you enter. For example, if you think you may enter 19 August, put that date as it would be valid for 20 or 21 August if you decided to delay your entry by a day or two. But if you put your entry date as 20 August (for example) but enter before then, it won’t be valid. I personally always give myself a little buffer.

Good question! Knowing how to shrink an image file depends on your operating system as it varies across the different systems. There are many videos out there that will show you how, though alternatively you can apply for your Laos visa through a company that’ll do it for you as part of your application like this one: ivisatravel.com/a/laos?

I don’t have an answer for you, other than if your nationality can get a visa on arrival it may be a good idea doing that. As an alternative, it may be worth using a third-party to help with your Laos visa since you have a unique situation, and my recommendation would be iVisa: www.ivisa.com/laos/tourist-e-visa?

Is the evisa for 30 or 60 days?

You can stay for 30 days, but it’s valid for 60 (seems a bit odd, actually). More info is here: laoevisa.gov.la/faq

It’s a pleasure! Just bear in mind that the visa is valid 60 days from the date of application, so don’t apply too soon or else your visa will be invalid by the time you travel in December. (Source: laoevisa.gov.la/faq) Have a great time!
