I have no words for how good a video I have just witnessed.. As a beginner golfer (2 months in) I can only say that this was the most understandable and relatable video I have seen - and I have seen a lot. Cheers from Denmark (Europe)

Hello Rene! Thanks very much! Please there should be a LOT of helpful videos on my channel.

There was a video I saw made about 10 years ago by a guy named Tom Rezendes from NorCal Golf. He talked about the initial move in the downswing being a slight push away from the ball and then a pull of the golf club towards the target along the line of the shaft, never across it. You then turn out of the way to the left (for a RH golfer) to finish. I tried this for a while and never hit the ball farther, although there were other issues. Since Tom seemed to be considerably younger than John I am guessing either he got that advice from John or perhaps both got it from someone else. Regardless, it's an interesting approach to the downswing, thank you very much for offering this video up for free.

Tom is a friend and a great pro! Frankly, i don't think either of us came up with that originally!!

Another great video Mr. Dunigan! I, for one, do not "squash" and "turn" enough to get onto my left side! Thus, I leave a number of shots to the green short. It does give me a lot of practice chipping though, but very few birdies. I like your comparison of pulling the club through impact to "pulling a net full of fish." In addition to getting an active left side, I have been also trying to get my right shoulder involved more in the swing.

Or square up the face earlier in the downswing-like at the start down.
