Hey! Great video, thank you! You mentioned at the end you would follow up with a video on how to manage upsells and cross sells, but I can't find it in your library. Did you publish that video?

Hi. thanks for the amazing content. That's exactly what I needed right now. I hve a question, if we have multi-year contracts, how you'd suggest handling them?

This is great, thanks for sharing! How do you make sure the Deals actually move through the pipeline, instead of only being put in the correct stage once?

Very nice Video thanks! I have a question: In my case the customer success pipeline is filled with multipliers and my upsell would be that my multiplier onboards another customer who buys my product. But after that id like to repeat the process. What would be smart here?

Hey - great question. We can definitely add a specific video for this case. The way we'd recommend doing it is having a Renewal Deal (use the deal type property to filter them in reporting and with deal tags) that keeps track of the total value of an account for a period. And then use separate Expansion/Upsell deals to track the individual change amounts. So within a given period you might end up with for example. A renewal deal with a initial value of $1000 + 2 expansion deals for $250 and $500 which would be aggregated into the renewal deal amount so when it is closed it's value is $1750. Once you have that structure you can use automate as shown in the the videos to automatically create a new renewal deal for the next period based on the closed value. Hope this helps!

The video is really interesting and helpful - thank you very much for sharing! :) If I may ask, do you have any available resources on how to streamline renewals and upsells in the renewals pipeline? in the video you mention that you use tags, but I would like to learn more about how this is set and how the renewal + upsell calculation is made towards the next year renewal deal. Many thanks in advance!

Hi - I've looked on the valut per your links below, and I still can't find the answer for how to handle upsells as part of renewals anywhere on the valut site. Can you advise please?

Really amazing tutorial, this has been SO helpful for our renewal process in Hubspot! A quick question - when you create the Renewal deal, the Close date is set for 365 days from the action - i.e. the date of the next renewal. Later in the video you use the property "Renewal date" to calculate the days to renewal. Do you copy the Renewal deal's "Close date" property to a "Renewal date" property? What is the benefit of having two properties instead of just Close date? Thank you so much again for sharing!
@Arrows-HQ7 ай бұрын
Hey - thanks so much! Glad you found this helpful! Yes, when the next renewal deal is created we copy of the close date over to the renewal date. Honestly, it's probably unnecessary to have the renewal date property be separate on the deal and close date would work just fine. You'll still want to have a renewal date property on the company record so you can always use that to keep track of the close date of the current renewal deal.
