How to configure time for follow me home lights using instrument cluster menu

In this video I will show you how to configure time for follow me home lights on your bmw e9x car using on-board computer menu.
Follow me home lights can be enabled by pulling the signal lever button, and the lights will stay on for configured time.
To configure time for follow me home lights, you need to follow the next steps:
1) You need to be inside the car with all doors closed.
2) Insert the key in the key slot.
3) Activate ignition mode. (by pressing start/stop button without pressing the clutch (for manual transmission) / brake (for automatic transmission) pedal).
4) Press this little round switch, of the signal lever button in down until you can see in the instrument cluster display the icon with a key and a check mark.
5) Press "BC" button from the signal lever to enter in the submenu.
6) Use the little round switch, of the signal lever button to scroll through the menu until you can see a sign like a "P" with a time in seconds in right side, under this sign is configuration for time for follow me home lights.
7) Press "BC" button from the signal lever to enter in the submenu.
8) Press this little round switch, of the signal lever button in down/up to select time for follow me home lights.
Here you have 6 options:
- 0 seconds (disabled)
- 10 seconds
- 40 seconds
- 90 seconds
- 150 seconds
- 240 seconds
9) Select what you prefer and press "BC" button.

Mate i have a 120d 2009 i did this with carlyapp and it worked but my front foglight has a failure since then i doesnt works i havr fixed the foglight but now it works sometimes and sometimes not what need i do?

Maybe some information were lost during programming, do you receive any error on FRM?

If you are sure that there is no electrical failure, you can try to reset FRM module to default, here are some information about how to do this, but you need NCS expert: www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=867263

Salut, as zice ca este stock, nu trebuie codate, eu am facut videoclipul pe un e90 facelift, dar inainte am avut un e90 din 2006 si se putea si acolo :) se poate si din diagnoza (daca le codez) dar ar trebui sa mearga si din meniu. :)

Hi, at least from my menu I can't remember this option, also to configure welcome light you need to have light module at least FRM2 🙂

Salut, că să poți să activezi Welcome light trebuie sa ai o anumită varianta de FRM, nu mai știu exact daca merge și cu FRM2 sau merge numai cu FRM3, dar cu FRM normal sigur nu merge, daca te ajuta o sa caut sa vad cum se numesc parametri pentru WEL sa vezi daca îi găsești la tine în FRM. Momentan nu am acces la laptop, dar pe weekend pot sa ii caut ai îți zic cum se numesc 🙂
