Thank you - I liked the video. Just what I needed. I’m learning CW and getting tired of using my FT 891 to practice. This is an easy and affordable solution.

Is there a way to use a key or paddle on the vband website through an iPhone/IPad? Works fine on my Morse it app if I slow the spacing down.

Got it and it’s useless on my IPad. Produces the letters but no sound. Checked the website and it said it may not work with an iPad. Would have been nice to know before buying it.

Downloaded Morse-It. Obtained Ham Radio Solutions “keyboard interface.” Attached Vibroplex dual lever paddle. When tapping out characters using the paddle, Morse-It produces two dits for one touch of the paddle and two dahs for one touch. Slowed down the speed to 15 wpm but the effect persists. Result: for example, impossible to type a letter “a” because the first touch of the paddle instantly produces an “I.” Oh well, investment was only $0.99 plus the cost of the Ham Radio Solutions keyboard interface.
@themarconian Жыл бұрын
Hey George. Sorry you had problems with getting the extra dits and dahs with your paddle. I have the same problem when I use a dual lever like my Bamakey with Morse-it. It is annoying because I have to always loosen the spacing on my Bamakey in order for Morse-it to key properly. I don't however, have that problem on a single lever paddle like my Begali HST. Also, have you tried your paddle on the Ham Radio Solutions website practice channel? It should work well over there and I don't have any problems keying a double paddle on that site.

If Morse-it isn't working for you and you have the Vband adapter, the practice channel on the Vband website does the same thing, and you can practice your sending there. Hope you find a solution. Have fun learning! 😊

Is it possible to train without anything but a computer, with the keyboard or the mouse. I'm serious. Want to learn, and have absolutely nothing than this.
@themarconian Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have used hamradio.solutions/vband/ to practice on the internet with a computer. You can use a keyboard as a key to practice sending morse code by going to the Practice Channel on the website. Make sure you select "straight key/cootie" in settings and use the control button as a straight key on your keyboard. Also, make sure you are on the Practice Channel after you confirm the settings. I did a video of me using the Practice Channel to talk to a QSO bot using a key, not the keyboard, but it will give you an idea here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIe4q2pqabGkiqM You can also practice with others on the website when you are comfortable. Just go to one of the other 6 channels and you can connect with others if they are online. For beginners, however, you can use the Practice Channel to practice by yourself using the keyboard if you don't have a key. Another good resource to learn is: lcwo.net/ Hope this helps!🤗

I already had the Ham Radio Solutions dongle, and the Camera lightening to USB connector so excitedly paid for and downloaded the app. Then found out that they want a ridiculous monthly fee simply to activate sending practice. I deleted the app and as soon as it goes from pending to purchased I will request a refund.

No,you got that wrong. The monthly fee one is for some "Social club" feature. The learning features cost about €10 and is a one time payment.

Also depending on how your key is wired, try switching the left control and right control on settings. It could also be that the camera adapter is not compatible. But if you have a mac, morse-it updated to now work with keys like on ipad. Download morse-it on mac and you don't need the camera adapter. You'll need the USBC adapter instead. Check out what you need as explained in my other video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIe4q2pqabGkiqM Good luck and hope it finally works for you!
