How to Connect a Soundbar to a Philips Television Using the HDMI Cable

Not all TVs have Bluetooth, and if you do have a soundbar, the only way to connect it to your TV is by using the ARC HDMI, or Optical port. In most cases, this is usually just a case of plugging in the cable, and pressing the appropriate button on the remote control. However, on my 2023 Philips smart television, this wasn't that simple, and you had to go into the menu system, and adjust some settings for the soundbar to work correctly.

Thank you this helped me. I was trying out all those settings, even had the multimedia by pass thing turned on but the sound didnt start so I dismissed it. This video helped me to know that was the correct setting and it actually worked once I set it to bypass then cycled through the soundbars sources from arc and back to arc which made the sound start
