Still cannot get my soundbar to connect to my TV. When I go to settings and advanced settings there is nothing that says Bluetooth.
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
It seems like your Roku TV might not support Bluetooth directly, which is why you don't see a Bluetooth option in the settings. One solution is to connect your soundbar to the TV via an HDMI ARC or optical audio cable. If your soundbar specifically needs a Bluetooth connection, consider getting a Bluetooth adapter that you can plug into your TV's audio out port.

My Roku doesn’t show Bluetooth where you said, or anywhere, for that matter. I do have “remote & devices” and try to add my soundbar that way, but it’s not detecting it. 🤷🏼♀️ my soundbar connects to my phone via Bluetooth, but that’s it so far. I have a Sharper Image soundbar. I got both used. Do I need to completely reset both? I found how to reset the TV, but not the soundbar. This could take awhile to figure out. Was just looking for an easy fix.
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
Roku TVs don't always support Bluetooth directly. Some Roku TVs might not have that feature, especially if they're older models. You may need a Roku speaker or a soundbar with Roku built-in for direct connection. However, you can still connect your Sharper Image soundbar to your Roku TV using other methods like HDMI (ARC), optical cable, or AUX. Check if your TV and soundbar have these ports. Also, make sure your soundbar is set to the right input mode. Regarding resetting your devices, it might not be necessary. It could be more about the compatibility of the devices. Still, if you want to reset your soundbar, you can usually do so by holding the power button or a specific combination of buttons. This varies by model so I'd recommend checking the user manual, or Sharper Image's website or customer support if you can't find it.

my soundbar (visio) only has optical port or bluetooth. If I purchase an optical to HDMI adapter and use that in my philips roku tv, will roku recognize it as CEC and will my roku remote then work with soundbar volume control? My TV doesn't have a Bluetooth option in the menu and am trying to find a workaround so that I can use one remote for tv control and volume. Thanks
@hifiaudios81018 ай бұрын
Hey there! So, using an optical to HDMI adapter might not get you the CEC control you're hoping for, since CEC usually works through HDMI connections directly. Your Roku remote might not play nice with the soundbar for volume control through that setup. 😕 For a simpler solution, have you thought about a universal remote that supports both your TV and soundbar? Might be an easier way to get everything working together with just one remote. Hope this helps a bit! 👍

Which are the Roku TVs in which the sound bar of other brands can be connected directly with the help of Bluetooth? As far as I know, it is not possible to connect other brands of soundbars directly via bluetooth to the Roku device.
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
Hey there! You're correct in saying that not all Roku TVs support direct Bluetooth connections. However, a workaround could be to use an external Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into your TV. Keep in mind though, a wired connection like HDMI ARC or Optical will generally give you better sound quality compared to Bluetooth. Remember, each TV model may have different capabilities, so it's always best to check the user manual or the manufacturer's website. Hope this helps!

Does anyone know how I can hook up my sonos soundbar with roku side speakers
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
You can connect your Sonos soundbar to the Roku TV via the optical or HDMI ARC port. For the Roku side speakers, they're designed to work directly with Roku TVs. Just pair them through the Roku TV settings. Both should work together, but you won't be able to integrate them into a single system. Hope this helps!

what about optical connection?
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
The video focused on other methods, but using an optical cable is definitely an option. Just plug the optical cable into the "Optical In" port on your soundbar and the "Optical Out" on your Roku TV. Then, switch the soundbar's input to 'Optical,' and you should be good to go!

I have a Roku soundbar and it was connected but I unplugged it and now idk how to reconnect it so all my CEC settings and stuff should be right
@hifiaudios810110 ай бұрын
Oh, reconnecting should be pretty straightforward! Just plug your soundbar back into your Roku TV, usually through the HDMI ARC port. Then, go to your TV settings, look for the CEC settings (might be under System or Audio settings), and make sure they're turned on. Your TV should recognize the soundbar again. If it doesn't pop up, try turning both devices off and on again. Sometimes, it's just about giving them a little reset

I was playing music from my phone through Bluetooth but when I turned off my tv the music stopped. I thought I could play music through the sound bar with the tv off. Help!
@hifiaudios81019 ай бұрын
Oh hey! So, you wanna keep jamming to tunes with the TV off, right? I get ya. Here's the thing, some setups might pause the Bluetooth connection when the TV goes off. Kinda annoying, huh? But, here's a quick tip: try diving into your TV's settings. Look for something like 'Bluetooth standby' or 'power settings'. If your TV's got it, turning this on might let your soundbar keep playing music even when the TV's taking a nap. If that doesn't sort it out, peek at the soundbar manual too. Sometimes, they have their own settings that need a tweak.

My soundbar doesn't have an HDMI port
@hifiaudios8101 Жыл бұрын
No worries! If your soundbar doesn't have an HDMI port, you can use an Optical Audio Cable (also known as Toslink) to connect your soundbar to your Roku TV. This is if your TV has an 'Optical Audio Out' port. If not, you could also connect via an AUX cable or Bluetooth, depending on your soundbar's capabilities.

Ah, connecting stuff can be tricky sometimes. Before you return it, did you try checking the HDMI or optical cable connections? Sometimes it's just about plugging it into the right port on your Roku TV. Also, make sure your TV's audio settings are set to recognize the soundbar. If it's still a no-go, maybe a friend or someone at the store could help out?
