I'm using the 1st generation Apogee Jam with a USB C (m) to USB (f) adaptor just fine with a 2020 iPad. But for low budget fans the Behringer UCG102 will make it too, and that's only 25€ (+ the adaptor mentioned before) + both options can be connected to any device that has a USB port (like PC). JFTR :o)

So not much has changed for interfaces to use in the past few years as far as lightning interfaces? I just watched your amp sim video and a lot has changed since I last had an iPad. Thanks!
@TheGaragebandGuide Жыл бұрын
There are not a lot of solely lightning based interfaces around really (apart from iRig/Apogee). You’d still need Apple’s camera connector to connect a ‘proper’ audio interface.

I have a little problem I don't know if you can solve it. I have and iPad 8 and when I record my guitar with other tracks (let's say drums) the drums stay on the guitar track. Like it does not only record my guitar or background noises, it also records the other tracks and it's very difficult for me because I can't really keep the tempo myself without drums or metronome

Synths? ROXSYN? Isn't the electric guitar just a midi controller that creates note velocity and duration information. Like a keyboard. But on a string. You then program the synth what sound to create. And then with fx/effects you mangle that sound into the shape you want it. I chose AUM with auv3 plugins but you can use other routing hosts or designated DAWs to record.
