Just got this today and tried setting it up on my PS5... My Skullcandy Crusher ANC headphones connect and say paired successfully, then the blue light starts slowly flashing again instead of the solid blue light I am supposed to see on the dongle when I get a proper connection. All the other connection and configuration settings with the PS5 seem to work fine. My Skullcandy ANC's are Bluetooth 5.0 and this is 2.1, but Bluetooth is usually reverse-compatible. I'll try some other older Bluetooth headsets with it and see if I can get it to work. Any ideas hive mind?

Works with a different pair of headphones, just not the Skullcandy Crusher ANC's. My Skullcandy Indy Fuels worked though.

@@LewRoch1 I use bone conduction headphones because I have a hereditary hearing problem that affects the small bones in the ear. So regular headphones don’t work well and are not worth the money. These work great for me and I use them for gaming and with my phone. Anybody can use them but you’re not going to get the same dynamic range of sound as you would from regular headphones. It is still very good quality sound for the compact design and way better than you would think just by looking at them. All and all I would put these on par with the lower end turtle beach headsets.

@@LewRoch1 I wish that same company would make a bone conduction headset that was beefier and made for gaming. All the products they have now or for exercising cycling being outside and active. So they focus on light weight compact design. I wish they would make a higher end bigger headset for gaming and movies to get a better Dynamic range

Had some samsung galaxy buds with a creative btw3. They paired straight away no issues. Couldn't get my arctis 3 to connect at all. They work fine with my phone. Followed your guide and didn't put the 3.5mm in until they'd paired. Then changed the settings...voila ! Great video. Well done. I was about to give up.

Better set up is a "Nintendo switch" blue tooth for the switch. The one I bought fits perfectly on the controller and you don't need the second adapter taking up a port on the PS5. Only down side is it has to be charged but it takes the same charger as the ps5 controller the C-chargers.

after purchasing the correct BT adapter here is my experience: It's not as straight forward as it would seem when you pair it on the PS5: On the phone, the headset will show up on the screen in which you manually select it to pair. This, you have to go on good faith that it'll just "pair" magically. So when it doesn't pair, what I had to do is try and pair it multiple times. It was not easy, but once it's done. You're good.

Hey, thanks for your comment. With thorough testing we have found that while sometimes the headphones will not show up on screen, they generally pair pretty quickly when the instructions on the website are followed. I hope that helps.

@Hallownest well whats not clear is how much the delay is between the ps4 and the ps5. Things to consider: ps5 bluetooth is the latest version. And make sure the dongle you buy is the latest bluetooth version as well. But there will be a delay matter what. Competative play is out of the window

You can connect a gaming headset with Bluetooth to the PS5 via a Bluetooth USB adapter. That's because the PlayStation 5 doesn't support Bluetooth audio. If you want to use a Bluetooth headset anyway, you need a Bluetooth USB adapter. This allows you to still use your gaming headset via Bluetooth.

@@deadpatronus the solution for the Ps5, don’t do a complete shutdown. You must leave it in “rest mode” to maintain the connection. It’s a “get what you pay for” type situation. The company is solid though, they did refund me easily.

I feel like in the same way there was some law passed that allowed people to have their cars worked on outside of the dealership, and the same way they made all companies (although Apple still doesn’t comply) have universal USB adapters- they need to do the same for Bluetooth devices. Brought this to use with my Taotronics BH085 bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately they will not pair with the Olixar, I follow the instructions here, The headphones state connected, but then continue in pairing mode without connecting / pairing. The AUX at 0:30 has 4 pins, which means that's u supposed to use the HS mic. But there is the possibility that your friend has an echo.

Well, this is relative to the device you are pairing with. You of course will get a few m\s latency. Honestly though, when I connected my airpods the audio quality was far better than my wired headphones.
