Thanks. It was helpful. The remote option has a lot of latency, but it works. I guess the second approach with the optical cable is more feasible. Well, XBOX Series S doesn't have the optical output.

This was really helpful. Unfortunately the first method won't let you open streaming apps like disney+. I was hoping to watch the new black panther movie on my badass speaker. I was trying to find a workaround for the fact that I have an ancient tv with no connection features as well as Xbox one; I'm missing the tv remote for the tv so can't control volume from sitting and I'm just tired of having to get up every two minutes to change the volume. I have not tested it, but you should be able to connect the transmitter to any power source and it will work. Plugging it in the back of the Xbox is just for convenience.

Can't you just run the 3.5mm to the Xbox controller 3.5mm? Might be able to use the mic on your Bluetooth headset, in theory, too. Worth trying.

Unfortunatly not, Xbox Series X|S does not support USB headsets (only a few under license). I have a JBL Charge 5 which I can connect to my PS4 via usb but this does not work with my Series S

Looks like Xbox changed power mode to Sleep mode. In sleep mode just make sure you choose standby. Standby should work the same as Instant-On.
