how to connect Canon camera to Computer using WiFi

In this video, I'll show you how to connect your canon camera to your computer without using cable. All you need is a laptop/PC/Computer and WiFi. Then, using the special button on the camera to active its wifi, you'll have to add some setting, such as selecting your wifi network, entering the password on the Camera, meanwhile, turning on the EOS utility software on your Windows 10. Then, selecting pair, you'll easily be able to pair the both. By paring the camera with the computer, you could remotely take photos, film, transfer photos and videos to your computer. In this example, I used Canon 70D/200D.

Do you know if it's possible on a 70D to have two WiFi locations set up with different names for the same laptop? I.e., one for my home router and one for my studio? Hi there! I went to download the EOS software and it asked me to choose my model. All were EOS. I use a Canon Powershot and have no clue what (or even if) EOS it is. EOS is not anywhere on the camera. Any way you could help?

Hi There. Canon Powershot is different than Canon EOS. In EOS cameras, you could change the lenses but in Powershot the lenses are fixed. So, you got to download the software for your Powershot model. Please follow www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/product_ranges/cameras/powershot/ . You'd still need the name of your model. No, the recording will be saved in your Camera's disk. Once, you've transferred them to your computer, then you could view them in the maximum quality.

For transferring photos/videos, the best way is using your cable. You can live view the camera but can't transfer photos? Does it say it is connected to the Camera?

I have CANON EOS 750D, and when I search for connection to a computer, all icons are the same except for the one that we need to click on. On your video is looks like a laptop, on mine it looks like a desktop. Anyway, when I click on it, it says: find network OR WPS (PBC mode) OR WPS (PIN mode). I clicked on "find network". Then I see my wifi. And I can click on it. And then I click OK. And it says to choose key format ( i dont know what that is) there are 2 options. Enter 8-63 ASCII characters OR enter 64 hexadecimal char. So instead of OK, I clicked on my wifi and then "enter connection". I suppose that, that is where I click my wifi password? Not sure. Because on your screen there were stars ***** but on my screen when I click "enter connection" is was pre-written "EOS - canon". And if I click my password there, well I dont know if it's correct. Cause the next step says to choose open system OR shared key OR WPA/WPA2-PSK

As far as I'm aware EOS 1300D also supports WiFi and NFC. So, the above method should work. The steps might be a bit different. It won't work on EOS 1200D (predecessor).

I had tried the wi fi on the menu and downloaded the Canon Utility app from Canon and still not able to connect wi fi spent 4 hours yesterday trying all sorts of things. In the end ordered a special lead from Amazon. I have like 20 different HDMI leads but none would fit the Canon Camera because they have made the sockets different so YOU HAVE TO BUY a new special one. Anyhow thanks for trying to help god bless.
