This was the best explanation. My father-in-law and I tried for about an hour following the instructions given by Genie and in the manual for my new car, we could not figure it out. Best explanation anywhere on the internets! The instructions from both Genie and Nissan manual didn't work because they left out the program to garage door head! I spent over an hour trying every other method and none of them worked. 45 seconds with this one and the garage door is responding seamlessly! Thanks!!!!

I struggled wit this for an hour today after the new Genie was installed. Following the directions from the Hyundai manual, I could not get it to work in my wife's 2014 Santa Fe or my 2022 Santa Fe. I even followed the Genie instructions. THEN I FOUND YOUR VIDEO, THANK YOU !!!!!!! I did both Santa Fe's and then programmed them for the neighborhood gates in under five minutes.

Are you F'ing kidding me? I used the Toyota manual (2022 Highlander), Watched the Genie video and other video's and none of them worked. I was so mad that my wife and I got into a small argument over something so little as a garage door opener which should be so easy. I just programmed my homelink and found that the instructions in the Genie manual and the vehicle are confusing. I was able to do it with the new 7055 Genie. 1. In the vehicle - clear all the prior codes - Press the two outside homelink buttons at the same time and hold for 20 to 25 seconds, you know they are clear because it will fast flash. 2. In the vehicle - hold the desired vehicle homelink button and the garage door remote opener button both at the same time for about 5 seconds, you will know it linked because it will fast flash. 3. On the garage door opener itself (in the garage) - there is a button labeled SET, push it for exactly two seconds, it will color change from green to blue on the dot and purple flashing on the bar. 4. In the vehicle - press the programmed button for exactly two seconds, then again for two seconds, and then press it once for about a second. The garage door will open or close. The button is now programmed. The opener will have a green light again.
