For someone who might not know this: YOU DON'T NEED TO REMOVE THE VGA CABLE TO PLUG THE HDMI, you can switch between both using the mode button that is available in all the modern monitors and the old ones too. Switch from VGA to HDMI output.

You have 16gb ram so I am assuming it's a high end laptop It will work just fine for 4 screens in that case You can get a one hdmi to multiple output from Amazon for this purpose

You do not another Key Board or Mouse either, once you have different programs on two monitors such as Word on one and Excel on other you only need to MOVE CURSOR OUT OF THE BOUNDRIES OF one display to other and then you can USE SAME inbuilt key board of your LAP TOP for both displays, also if you have touch screen it is a plus point, enjoy
