There is a special AV cable (diff from HDMI) available just for PS# to be connected to old TVs but there is HDMI which is a digital cable for the Plasmas, LCDs and LEDs.

Please check the cable first.....Also if you can check the display settings on the PS3 would be great....maybe it does not support video through HDMI....you need to change that!!

One tip from me : after u connect HDMI cable go to Settings - Screen settings - Custom - an now you will see 567, 720, 1080i, 1080p now click 1080p and PS3 will show you stopawch and under yes - no. Click yes before stopawch go to 0 and u will have PS3 with graficks of PS4

You need a step down converter First Second, Check if there is a lot of fluctuations in your residence then you would need a Stabiliser too.

If the screen to the PS3 seems black despite tried to change visual settings and more, try to press and hold “ON/OFF” button until 3 beeps, not just two as before to reset settings. After 3 beeps it will restart. Press and hold until 2 beeps. After this I finally got my picture via HDMI cable and could upgrade settings from 560p to 1080p and it worked fine!

Hi! I have an HDMI cable that shows whether it is properly connected via an led light. When I first got my Sony Bravia 55 in" tv and connected the hdmi to my PS3, it was fine and I was playing a game in 3d. I fixed it!!! Yeah. I was originally using an HDMI cable from old Comcast unit. I switched it out using a Beltran cable and used 2nd slot. Then followed instructions on KZbin to reset the ps3 again and wala
