my wireless adapter led won't turn on, I had to shutdown the PC, and turn it on (with the dongle plugged it), if the adapter lead doesn't turn on, try this step

Honestly I hate that dongle it's so anal if you press the Xbox home button on the controller before plugging the adapter thingy it in it becomes a torture to connect.
