How do you tell Logic to have the mixer or piano roll on one screen, and the sequencer / instrument on the other?

Cmd+2 should open a mixer window. Then you can drag it on your second monitor

Make sure it’s showing as extended display under display settings (not “mirror”)

I keep getting an interference on my second monitor - like an (old fashioned) TV with no channel selected. The only way to stop it is to unplug the USBc cable and replug it. It happens nearly every day. It is an apple usb to HDMI. Anyone else?

That happens on occasion to me but rarely with the anker adapter. If it happens I simply press the power button really quick (it doesn’t turn off the computer if you press for one second). It just resets the monitors quicker than unplugging the adapter.

Does the adapter get too hot? I used to have a usb-c to hdmi cable for my macbook pro, and it used to get really hot.

Not at all. I just double checked to confirm. I don't know if it's just constructed better or if that braided fabric cools it off. The metal connecting piece also was not hot.

I would think so if they both have monitor inputs. You just might need the adapter or a HDMi to USB-C cord since the Mac mini only has one HDMI output

It gets worse. The HDMI port is unreliable, a known issue for more than a decade that Apple has not fixed. I didn't discover this until I ran into problems with my new M2 Mac Mini.

this is horse crap from apple to have this many limited ports, this makes no sense. this is why i keep my old stuff around cause it had more ports, there is no excuse for this crap.
